Not to get too far off topic, but what was it like working in Benin? I enjoy reading about life in the various African republics (autobiographies, memoirs from Peace Corps, etc. volunteers), but I've never really found anything that covers Benin in any detail. The only things I know about it are: - It's not the same place as Benin State in Nigeria.
- It used to be Dahomey. I understand that they changed the name because "Benin" was more inclusive for the various ethnic nations there.
- Angelique Kidjo, a singer with an unforgettable voice, is from there.
