Another thing we can say about Guinea stamps, they are sooo many!
Not just Guinea but all those african countries with hundreds of new issues each year.
I bet your dinos never seen Guinea, these are just cinderellas "officially" produced.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s there was a craze for the odd and unusual in stamp materials. One of the things that popped up was the idea of embossing gold and silver foil-covered stamps. These things invariably have outrageous catalog values, so they virtually never show up in the odd lots I pick up. Guinea is the one country from which I do have some Scott-listed gold & silver stamps. It's obviously real silver - check out the tarnish on these things! These blocks commemorate Nixon's trip to the People's Republic of China. So, a block of 4 has Nixon, Mao and two ping-pong players. Maybe one of them is Forrest Gump, I don't know. ha ha Ryan

Lovely stuff, these are up there with Lenticular Stamps, one of just a handful of countries who can claim certain stamps issued by them, can actually melt. (Inc the CDRom stamps of Bhutan)

Shown are 2 proofs and the issued stamp set for the 1964 Eleanor Roosevelt, 15th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights of 1963, issue (Sc. #336-339, C61).
The first scan shows a sunken artist's proof on coated card of the rejected design, which included 6 boys. The boy behind the boy at left and the boy between Eleanor Roosevelt and the boy with the glasses were removed from the final design. The rejection of the design is indicated by the red line towards the upper left of the proof.
The second scan shows a sunken printer's proof on coated card of the issued design for the 50F airmail stamp, which includes only 4 boys. The areas where the two boys were removed are visible on the proof, but unfortunately, they do not show well on the scan, due to the reflection of the coating on the card. The removed areas are, however, more noticeable on the issued stamps. If you look closely, you can see the outlines of where the 2 additional boys were removed from the printing plate on the issued stamps.
