Moderator Note: This thread was originally titled Uganda Protectorate Postmark Port Alice, which has now been modified to broaden the possibility for additional posts.
I have a couple of these postmarks, but this one clearly is the best. Has anyone else come across this PM?

I agree with the others, Roy ( sudbury12000), that your postmark is indeed a gem! I don't know if you noticed, or perhaps even did it intentionally (?), but your Port Alice PM is dated 11-Jan-1899, and you posted it on 11-Jan-2023, timing worthy of the Postmark Calendar! Anyway, thanks for sharing a great stamp!

@beryllium Guy ,I wish I could say I did that on purpose, but alas, no. But what a good idea for a stamp advent calendar, for the whole year!

Uganda Protectorate, Sc69-78 Queen Victoria Era Arranged on Hagner Stock SheetIn the not-too-distant past, I spent some time creating vintage-looking country headers for some of the short-lived stamp-issuing entities that I like so much. Uganda Protectorate is one of those. I acquired most of this set at the Stanley Gibbons shop in London back when I was living in the UK from 2019-2022. I got a very good deal on it because a couple of the stamps were damaged, but I am happy to report that I was later able to replace those, so now I have a sound, complete set. Row 1: Header (created from two old album headers 1900-1936) Row 3: Uganda, Sc69-72a (includes color varieties) Row 4: Uganda, Sc73-74a (includes color variety) Row 5: Uganda, Sc75-75a, 76 (includes color variety) Row 6: Uganda, Sc77-78, stamps of British East Africa overprinted UGANDA
