Should you buy the Dr Who Prestige Booklet...be aware that "The definitives pane is printed in gravure by Wallsall Security Printed" is quoted on the cover but they were actually printed in litho by Cartor. It doesn't matter to Royal Mail but to collectors who write up their collection it makes a vast difference.

I don't have an answer for you, Andy. I got some on cover from a generous stampgal on SCF.

Ok, does anyone know what exactly I need to buy to get a complete set?
There's a presentation pack, a prestige booklet, and individual stamps.

Andy, Most of the 'same' stamps are different, either in format, gum, size, printer or method of printing. This issue holds the record, pricewise, as the most expensive issue EVER by Royal Mail. Now after privatization, it will be beaten regularly. Get your order in before the price hike. Or better still.....don't !! Londonbus1

And the next question....
How do I find out the stamp sizes, so I can start to hack some pages together?

I'm writing descriptions as we speak. I'm hoping to buy the stamps and have pages designed prior to the November 23rd 50th anniversary episode. Going to have a few friends over and I thought it would be cool to show off the stamps in their new home.

If collectors go for the cheapest option..i.e. one of each stamp, then there are 19 individual stamps in the Dr Who issue. 11 Doctors 1 to 11 5 from Miniature sheet ( 1 Dalek, 1 OoD, 1 Weeping Angel, 1 Cyberman, 1 Tardis) 2 Self-adhesive (Doctors 1 and 11) 1 Tardis (gummed from Prestige booklet)

Not yet. I need to order the stamps, so I can size everything. I'll probably order them early next week from Royal Mail.

If anyone has these stamps and can take measurements in mm, I can cut out blanks and keep working on it.

Thank you! Are they gummed or self-adhesive? I believe self-adhesive, but I'll confirm that as well.

Tenth Doctor stamp dimensions: 40mm wide x 29mm high - appears to be gummed? TARDIS: 20mm wide x 24mm high - self-adhesive The villians stamps have cutouts, so the measurements reflect that (i.e. without the cutouts, each stamp would be 35mm square). Dalek: 38mm x 38mm Ood: 39mm x 39mm Cyberman: 41mm wide x 37mm high Weeping Angel: 44mm wide x 38mm high Full minisheet: 115mm x 89mm

Thank you! I'm leaving for a wedding in a few hours and won't be back till tomorrow, so I won't be able to get started until tomorrow. This will at least move me a long a little more.
I said earlier, I was writing descriptions. That so far from the truth. I was cutting and pasting them from tardis.wikia.com, which allowed by the Creative Commons license, as long as I use the same license for my works (which I do).
I really really hope I have all the stamps in my hands and the sheets done before the 50th anniversary special airs on the 23rd.

Am I going overboard with the descriptions? I don't think so, but then I'm a borderline Whovian.

The fact that you used the term 'whovian' puts you past borderline... :-)
