Nepal is one of my favourite stamp-issuing countries. My collection is far from complete,especially most early stamps are missing. However as the early ones are very difficult to designate to theirs places in the catalogues, and as I do not like to specialize in such a mess,I never tried to expand my few early ones. Another point is,that there are many forgeries known... So my description of the "Lotos and crossed Swords" issues may be incorrect,but at least at my best knowledge. I completely agree with you about the exclusivity of Nepal. And in general, of all Asia, Nepal and Afghanistan are the most interesting to me. I don't understand much about them, I don't consider myself an expert, but when I see it, I try my best to acquire it. It is difficult to find it in general and at a reasonable price in particular. I will show my result on "Lotos and crossed Swords"  You may be interested in a larger blanking, there is something similar on your blue anna...  Thank you salentin for this wonderful theme! |

Yes, of course. For some reason, I decided that it would be better to see the cancellation. It looks like 12 stripes and a letter in a black square in the center. |

The banderole shows the motto जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गादपी गरीयसी (Jananī janmabhūmiśhcha svargādapi garīyasī) in Sanskritam language, quoted from the Indian epic Ramayana, Kanda (Part) 6: Lanka Kanda, Sarga (Chapter) 124, Shloka (Verse) 19. It means "Mother and Motherland are greater than heaven.".
