In my quest for oranges on stamps I came across this booklet with panes of 6 stamps for the 1p, 2p oranges, and 3p values. I am delighted to find that the pane of oranges stamps has what is sometimes refered to as traffic lights - the orange and green dots - on the selvage.
The opened booklet with the pane of 3p stamps is adhered to the booklet cover. The others were stacked on top with interleaving and all stapled to the inside cover. The contents are 1d, 2 panes, 3p, 2 panes, and only one pane of the 2p oranges. The stamps are the lithographed version by Mardon Printers, Salisbury, and the booklet was stated to be from 1968 by the seller.
When I create a proper page for my Oranges Philately Project I will include an image in that thread.
I note that this booklet or its panes of 6 are not Scott listed in 2015. However a booklet pane of 4 stamps of the 3p value is.
Perhaps of value to the cover collector, current postal rates are printed on the inside front cover.
For those who made it this far, I have even retained the staple which was removed to explode the booklet.
