Picked up another WWII patriotic label today. This one talks about conserving hydro electric power. What's interesting is that it is attached to a 1943 hydro bill. One might wonder if it was stuck on accidentally, but I think, considering the topic, and it was attached to the bill very carefully (square) and adhered only at the top of the label, I think it's a very deliberate use. Note the Domestic War Sales Tax of .85ยข

I will start paying more attention to Cinderellas. I would love to have an electric bill for $11.00. Even would be happy to pay the tax on it.

How many of us had to use an out house on a regular basis? Great to see that my home province of Nova Scotia is the home of the Outhouse Preservation Society.

Stamps issued around 1905-1910 by Na-Dru-Co, the National Drug Company of Canada Ltd, promoting "Made in Canada" products. This is the scarce set with French text. Interesting that cinderellas were issued in French and English versions, even before the country's postage stamps were bilingual!

Here's an interesting one from Toronto. Does anyone have a clue about what C.R.A. stands for (I suspect it isn't Canada Revenue Agency)? Or which year the exhibition took place?

Perfect! I found a reference to the Canadian Restaurant Association 1959 convention, Toronto, April 6-9. Canadian Hotel Review & Restaurant, April 15, 1959, p. 1-4. So that nails it! Cheers!

Hi Mr Frog. It would be good if you could find your Western Gold Bond stamps and post them here. Above are the only ones I've seen.
They are closely related to the Gold Bond Company Ltd. stamps. And also the quite scarce Gold Bond of Canada stamps.

My apologies if this has been posted here before. I believe this proud-looking gentleman is Politician and Reformist Louis Joseph Papineau ? Those from Canada will no doubt put me right !!
I got a batch of Canadian Cinderellas recently and this gent stood out.
More another time (after I check if they have been shown already !!)

Official Commemorative stamps of the 21st International Eucharist Congress in Montreal, 1910.
Not sure if 9 is a full set, most likely not but I quite like the designs on these. Inscribed in English/French.

cindycan2 , didn't know if you had seen it, but coincidentally with your latest post, which highlights Saint John, New Brunswick, I had a recent example in the Postmark Calendar thread which was also from St. John, NB courtesy of firstfrog2013 : just a little something in the "small world / serendipity" category!
