Some nice revenues there Rod, I especially like the last page as I have not seen them before and they are quite appealing. On the topic of Argentina and because I cannot find the recent acquisition thread, I'll show it here. It's the second page (Scott specialty) that I just completed today with the addition of #33 and #50. Also in the page lot were a couple of sub numbers and a few upgrades to what I already had.

Never mind the "recent aquisitions" thread Mitchel, they are welcome here, any students of Argentina that pop in, can see the gold medal issues, that for most of us, are out of reach. Great stuff for study.

Count me in on Argentina...although i mainly look for classic postally used postcards and covers..i work on the departmentals but do find identifying some of the early San Martins. Argentina is a large country...yet its hard to find a decent catalog in English or a an English speaking Stamp Society. Little Guatemala on the other hand has a English speaking stamp society with an excellent magazine and no shortage of specialized books also in English.

Came across this 1952 Eva Peron issue the other day and wondering if any of good members here know anything about the cancel. According to Google translate Sucursal could mean: branch; branch office; subsidiary; or office. So maybe "branch office #23"? Not sure what B.A. stands for. The other thing that strikes me about this issue is the different motif used on each side.. interesting, usually the design would be symmetrical.

(Buenos Aires) The CDS is symmetrical, it is put off by the date slug "1952" being inverted A "keeper" ! SUCURSAL: Branch (Office) (Usually with indication of Railway or route. Sucursal Nos. 2,4, 5, 8, & 37 were TPOs.) railwayphilatelicgroup.com/information/terms-abbreviations/terms-abbreviations.html

Hi All
If anyone wants I have one of my "store tables" for Argentina. Philb, it may help with the San Martins. Just e-mail me with a subject of TSF-Argentina and I will send the table. Actually it is a set of 7 tables which include the departmental issue tables.

Awesome! Thanks for the info Rod and the link. That site is now duly bookmarked. And I hadn't even noticed that the year slug was inverted. This one will go in the stock book of stamps with interesting cancels.

Kudos goes to you Jen, being inquisitive is the first step in any journey. Pmks are so easily overlooked. That is one handsome example.

Hi Rodney FYI: The APS Library (APRL) can make reprints of any articles. Since TSF is a chapter, the cost should be minimal. Here are some entries for Argentina Revenues : Argentina RevenuesJerry B

Jerry BThanks that could be very useful. (I'll look in my Forbin First) I make it Base fee $10 +25c per page or $4 plus 25c per page Do they email out the pages? Do you have spreadsheet on the 1935-1951 Belgrano, Sarmiento sets, you care to share? I have spent a whole day and still not finished I was going to make one myself, but thought maybe you had already done the hard yakka. I make it 5 Steiner pages with Wmks 90, 288, Unwatermarked, and odd sizes, Litho and Typo One needs a sheet to quickly ID piles of issues, to select the best condition stamps.

Hi Rodney I think I do. I'll send it to you by e-mail. I tried with my Box cloud folder and ended up deleting my main folder reloading 447 files now. RE APRL: I am not sure if they e-mail the pages. I assume it depends on how many pages. Email the APRL and make sure you state that you are a member of an APS chapter. It may cost a little less. Jerry B Update: Found how to restore on the cloud. No Reload

Jerry B Hi Jerry, Have downloaded you files...Many Thanks. Tried to email you last evening, alas! I had denial of service, seems to happen a lot on the weekends here possibly due to "NETFLICKS" downloads, my wireless internet drops to a standstill. Without seeing your response, I quickly made a Database of the 75 stamp set myself (Trusty old MSWorks) I can "sort" on the vignette and quickly appraise each stamp by its picture and watermark Makes it easy peasy. I'll have a dekko at your files later today, if you want mine, let me know Here are the 75 stamps in the set (agreed some of the watermarks are hard to read)

Hi Rodney
Glad you got what you needed. I did my tables in WORD since everybody can use them. I did do one or two in RTF format for some one on an Apple iMAC. Someone suggested converting them to PDF format but I ruled that out as impractical for anyone to make corrections.
Thanks for your offer. I have the WORD tables and I can do a sort using table commands and I can "extract" using Search. A suggestion. Would it not be easier to read the colors if left-justified.
BTW: I have a Rodney folder on the cloud. If you need anything just ask and I'll put it in your cloud folder.

Jerry BLeft justified...done. When building a database for brevity, I use rod's shorthand, then when finished I type the correct (colour in this case) and "fill down" saves keystrokes. I had not got around to do the colours as yet.
