For some reason, I never posted all the Admirals I found in these old albums. Nothing significant here and, like I said, most will be sold or traded or given away but here they are all the same. The Edwards will have to go to.

Also, this is Sc. 105, orange yellow, which I thought had an interesting postmark. Can anyone tell me more about it? The cancel is a roller, vertical format, for obliterating stamps on parcels and the like. I am unable to identify the town of use. A fellow named E. A. Smythies published a handbook on these rollers in the in 1965.

Darrin ( darkormex), that interesting cancel on the 1¢ KGV "Admiral" Issue is a roller cancel and although difficult to read from the image, I would suggest "HAMILTON, ONT STATION A" as the cancellation. If you can get your hands on a copy of E.A. Smythies, Canadian Roller Cancellations 1894-1930 all would be revealed as "STATION A" is not common.
These cancels would make for a great side collection if anyone were interested...
Have fun and happy collecting!

JeffS and stanley64, thank you for the help with this. I see another rabbit hole that I am unwilling to go down but it is interesting to know what this is. I will probably set it aside in my Canada collection as an interesting cancel nonetheless and maybe at a future time explore this a bit more.

Very nice "souvenirs" (postcards), paul1 (Paul) and one will rapidly notice the Union Flag of Canada, replaced in 1965 by our own Canada Flag: In 1964, Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson formed a committee to resolve the ongoing issue of the lack of an official Canadian flag, sparking a serious debate about a flag change to replace the Union Flag by our own Canada Flag (Maple Leaf) in 1965.
My late dad participated, through his Newspaper, in the debate - He was proud that Canada had its own flag.
You will see him in this photograph (middle) between PM Lester B Pearson and Provincial PM Louis J Robichaud

Thanks Rene - Judging by their faces, they look very pleased with themselves - perhaps something of importance has been agreed. Glad you found my post and it's content of interest.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

These Admiral items arrived today. The coil mint never hinged pairs are upgrades to the single used copies I had of each. They are Unitrade 129 and 130 and are die 1. The on piece Unitrade 140 is not the type of thing I normally collect but since I was bidding on the coil pairs I threw a bid on it. I like the slogan cancel 'YOUR POSTMAN SELLS STAMPS' is also shown in French.

The first surprise found in the boxes of stuff I acquired today was this mint Unitrade MR2Ci. It will join a used MR2C I recently bought. There were also a few revenues I needed and some mint for postage in the little bit I went through so far.

Here's a real beauty that I found in a big box of stamps I bought. Apparently it's rare and desirable. There is a hairline plate crack up and down the left and right sides of the stamp and margins. I also think it is the one listed in Unitrade as 120iii.

This is a nice one for Admiral collectors. Look at the crown in the UR corner. The lines are all doubled. This is Reentry position 87LL93.

I have around hundred of these I'll send along a few your way. This reminds me of Swedish Scott 134 (1926) with perf 13 - these coil stamps started out as perf 10 in 1925 Your 1 cent orange Admiral was issued in 1922, roughly around the same time. Could it be that an improvement in dispensing technology triggered a need for finer perforations? My point is that other countries have examples of similar developments - so I would tend to believe that the perforations are genuine for the time period
