These perforated Azerbaijan #1-10 appeared on eBay last. Does anyone know their status? I never heard of them before. The stamps are genuine, not the forgeries.   |

These perforated Azerbaijan #1-10 appeared on eBay last. Does anyone know their status? I never heard of them before. The stamps are genuine, not the forgeries. That's a big call BC. If genuine printings, then private perforations. Forgeries are on white smooth paper with very white gum flecked with small specks. 1919 Printing the panels points are up 1920 Printing the panel points are down In the 1919 printing there are bubbles in the gum 1920 printing Yellow gum, or no gum They look dodgy to me. (the 5r looks genuine, but the 60, should have a sun ray next to his nose..looks like it is missing. Once again, hard to comment with small scans, typical of ebay. (buyer beware) Note : There is a variety of the 25 r (Olive Black and red) only 6 copies known. |
