Taiwan has some very nice modern stamps, and here are a couple (on postcard). 2013 Series: Flora - Berries Ribes formosanum and 2014 Series: Alpine Lakes of Taiwan Lake Qicai Taiwan_Postcard_w_2013-Berries_and_2014-LakeQicai by Mick Taylor, on Flickr I just noticed after I scanned this that the person that sent me the postcard seems to have gone to great pains to make the perforations line up. Very cool.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Every now-and-then I turn a page in a stockbook and find something I forgot I had. Here's this morning's surprise ... Four stamps from the ROC. Two from 1967 and two from 1977. In 1966, in Taipei, the World Anit-Communist League (WACL) was formed by the merger of several earlier organizations. It changed its name to the World League for Freedom and Democracy (WLFD) in 1990 after the dissoution of the Soviet Union. The organization has always been plagued with contraversies. According to Wikipedia, in 1978, the British affiliate left the WACL and its leader said, "the World Anti-Communist League is largely a collection of Nazis, Fascists, anti-Semites, sellers of forgeries and corrupt self-seekers". For more information, check out this overview in Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_League_for_Freedom_and_DemocracyIn 1967, Taiwan issued two stamps to commemorate the founding of the WACL. Stamps:Taiwan - WACL Series World Map and WACL Issued - September 25, 1967 No Gum, as issued 1NT$ Red MiNr 637 5NT$ Blue MiNr 638 And, in 1977, they issued two stamps to commemorate the 10th WACL Conference Stamps:Taiwan - 10th WACL Conference Series Map and symbols Issued - April 18, 1977 2NT$ Red MiNr 1182 10NT$ Green MiNr 1183
