Postfiliale 8200 Schaffhausen 1, Bahnhofstraße 34 (picture taken late in February 2023). The main post office in the old town of Schaffhausen (Switzerland) is located across the road from the station. Over the archway at the foot of the tower appears a posthorn.    |

Gràcia, Barcelona (Catalonia) PO on the "Carrer gran" (main street) of the old town, just this morning. Being Saturday, the office was closed as was the street to cars. So, there was a trio playing Mozart...
Perhaps, some around here would recognize it...
Thanks for your post, Joan! Yes, I think I recognize this PO as the one to which you took me on my last day in Barcelona this past October, so that I could mail a catalogue package to david in Belgium. It's an excellent memory for me. Thanks again for your help with that little project, too!  |

At the bus station in front of the post office in Schaffhausen calls this Postbus that runs to Schloß Laufen above the Rheinfall.  The Rheinfall is in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, a 45-minutes walk from the post office in Schaffhausen.  |

Near the old town of Split are two post offices. One is hidden besides the entrance to a five-star hotel just north of the old town. This bigger one photographed on the eve of Easter 2023 is located in the ferry port to the southeast of Diocleatian's palace. The main bus and train stations of Split are also in this ferry port.  |

I have a, not too distant, memory of a small post office in Vienna's main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) hidden away behind the escalators that lead to the platforms. At the end of May 2023, I flew to Vienna to catch a train to Slovakia. Wanting to send my girlfriend a postcard, I looked for this post office. It no longer exists. However, just outside the station is 'Postfiliale 1053.' Exiting the station to the Gertrude-Fröhlich-Sandner-Straße, the office is just across that road. It closes during the weekend, so I could not buy any stamps to send a postcard from Vienna this time.  |

Buckingham, UK. Another lovely English town, full of quaint corners and places of interest. The former post office, now a sorting office, Enquiry Office and RM administrative building. You can still post letters there though !!   The modern-style Post Office in use today, just a short distance from the former office. Definitely not an upgrade but at least there is 'Free Cash' to be had !!    Londonbus1 |

Poprad (Slovakia) Nr. 1 Post Office (end May 2023). Poprad is the gateway to the High Tatra Mountians. It is the largest city in the historical Spiš region. The post office is just off the main square on the (pedestrian) route from Poprad-Tatry Station to the historic centre.  |

Kežmarok (Slovakia) Nr. 1 Post Office. Like Poprad, Kežmarok is a city in the Spiš. The post office is just south of the mediaeval town, Near a UNESCO-listed wooden church. (end of June 2023)  |

Levoča (early June 2023), still in the Spiš (Slovakia) Nr. 1 Post Office. The post office is on the main square in the historic centre. Nearby is the UNESCO-listed Renaissance town hall.  |

Spišská Nová Ves (Slovakia) Nr. 1 Post Office (beginning of June 2023). The post office is on the main road that runs through the town, a few hundred metres from the historic square on which stands a Gothic church with Slovakia's highest bell tower (87 metres).  |

Žilina (Slovakia) Nr. 2 Post Office (beginning of June 2023). For more than a week, I only encountered "Posta 1" signs. In Žilina, the question whether it was a post office number, finally, was answered. The nr. 2 post office is next to the main railway station.  |

Žilina sits on the banks of the Váh River. Where the Kysuca River flows into the Váh River, stands Budatín Castle (13th. century, Renaissance remodelling). Crossing the road and foot bridge across the Váh whilst walking to the castle, I noticed a yellow "Posta" sign on a building at the Budatín-side of the bridge. It was the Žilina nr. 3 post office.   |

The Nitra nr. 1 Post Office (beginning of June 2023) is just behind the main pedestrian street (on the side of the Nitra River).  Someone in the Nitra Post Office had the brilliant idea to decorate the post offices with images of the series of heritage stamps. That person deserves a statue. (Permission asked to take a picture inside the post office).  |

The Nitra nr. 3 Post Office is in the Mlyny shopping mall, on the first floor (as we count them). If you look closely, you will see the same wall decoration as in the nr. 1 post office. I did not come across the nr. 2 post office.  |

I have not thought much about stamping while away but I did do a quick photo of a post office in George Town, Penang in Malaysia when our guide pointed it out while we were passing by in trishaws. A nice trip so far.  |

This magnificent building used to be the central post office of Correo Argentina in Buenos Aires.Built in 1889 and closed in 2005.It is now the Kirchner Cultural Centre.Outside is a statue of a postman making his deliveries.   |

My travels in Northern Ireland took me to the Ulster American Folk Park yesterday and the vintage village had a post office that emigrants would have used in Ireland and another one in a general store once they landed in the US. Not real post offices but I thought they still fit this thread.   |

I am on my last full day in Ireland. We had a guided coach tour around Dublin. It included our passing of the GPO and a portion still serves as a post office. It was the headquarters for the leaders of the 1916 Easter rising. It was burnt at the time and restored in 1929. link  |

I am away on a road trip to Nova Scotia to spend Thanksgiving with family and to take in the Liverpool International Theatre Festival. Before getting to Liverpool I took a detour to do a fall drive of the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. It is a very special place to visit. My base is the town of Baddeck. I was walking around the town this evening and there was the old post office that’s was built in 1885 staring back at me.   After dinner I was walking back to my motel and noticed the present post office.  |
