My recurring headache has returned, LITHO v PHOTO Singapore Corals and Reef life, exist in what appears identical sets in 1994 and 1997 1994 is Litho 1997 is Photo Here are 2 stamps, 1 is proven to be LITHO, the other PHOTO Look at the printing of SINGAPORE, how could anyone tell the different printing methods without other clues? To me the Singapore lettering on the Photo should be hazy and unclear at the edges. I have put the sets away for another time, and fresh approach. I cannot isolate the lower values printing. Note: The $1 is Photo, proven by the embossed Lion in the centre, the embossing is not evident on the back of the stamp, one has to hold the stamp in tongs, and angle it towards a light source. Note: Dollar value stamps all have "SYNCOPATED PERFORATIONS"

Part of a Pacific Tour in the Canadian Navy led me to Singapore. I scoped out the city & found the Main Post Office and bought the stamps they had available. I should have mailed letters back home as well, but didn't. I really like the Stamp-on-Stamp themed set for London 1980. As you can clearly see, they are STILL in a stockbook, since 1981! One of these days!

Here is an image of the 15c Junk showing the two phosphor bar tagging options. These are not listed in Scott. I have the 4mm and 10mm bar varieties.
