Thanks JeffS, I have all of the Gutenberg stamps posted except for the Occussi-Ambeno cinderellas (rare as hen's teeth) and the Ukranian issues. These are hard, and expensive, to find

Cinderella StampThe text 'POSTGEBÜHR BAR BEZAHLT' translates as 'Postal fee paid in cash' according to my internet translator. It must have been some private post issue (?). ERTL-DRUCK-OFFSET-UND BUCHDRUCKEREI is printed on the stamp, but they are no longer trading. I have been unable to find out any information about this stamp so at the moment it stays with my cinderellas

This was not a private post issue. Rather, such labels document that the sender company (like Ertl at the time) does not frank its shipments of numerous letters each day one by one, but uses the so-called cash franking. Here, the postage is paid in total upon posting, without having to buy stamps and affix them individually to the letters (or to use a franking machine). Labels such as this one or imprints on the envelopes are used to identify such cash franking.
