Issued in 1998 in Canada: I learn from collecting this piece that 100 years ago one British penny equaled to two cents Canadian. And that the penny-postage stamp was the world's first Christmas issue.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Still picking through a stock book and stumbled on this 1968 MNH set from Fernando Poo commemorating the centenary of the little countries first postage stamp. This was the second to last set issued by them. Scott 251-53. A bit newer than I collect but nice enough to keep.

I'm afraid, the second stamp don't show Madrid's coffin, but 1799 Sevilla's "filed eleven". That us, a number eleven cut with a file.

cursus, quite honestly, the Serena postmark looks more like a coffin. Anyway, being as ignorant as I am about nicknames for postmarks, the only source I went by was stampsonstamps.org/csaposos.htm

This is the souvenir sheet from Canada International Philatelic Youth Exhibition 1982: The 3-pence beaver stamp was reproduced once again on a Canadian stamp: this time, in 2001, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the transfer of postal authority from Britain to Canada. The 3-pence beaver stamp issued in 1851 was Canada's first postage stamp.
