27th January (1894) Belgium, postal stationery cut-square with design similar to Scott #64 (design A27), 5-centime dark olive green on cream or buff colored thin cardboard (my description and this may have come from a postal card), and postmarked on this date in 1894 in Roulers. If anyone has a correct catalogue number and description for this item, please let me know, I will be happy to amend this post. From Wikipedia: "Roeselare (in Dutch, French: Roulers, West Flemish: Roeseloare) is a Belgian city and municipality in the Flemish province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Roeselare proper and the towns of Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke. The name of the city is derived from two Germanic words meaning 'reed' and 'open space', i.e., a marsh in a forest glade. Roeselare's minor seminary is famous for having hosted the famous Flemish poets Guido Gezelle, Albrecht Rodenbach and missionary Jesuit Constant Lievens. The city is also home to the Rodenbach brewery." I acquired this item from bobby1948 as part of the "Big Blue Volume 1 Giveaway", and what a nice piece it is.... thanks, Bobby!

Here's one that was mailed in Paris on this day in 1966. The stamp itself was issued in 1965 and shows a boat on a lake in Aix-les-Bains. (Scott 1127).

I have a very minor side collection of QSL cards. Here is one that was postmarked this day in Leipzig, then part of East Germany. The cancel advertises the upcoming Leipzig Trade Fair, which dates all the way back to the 13th century.
Here is the full QSL (click to embiggen). It was sent from operator DM3IGY in Leipzig to W3P11 in Pittsburgh. Are any of you ham radio operators? If so, do you still send out QSL cards or is it all digital now?

4th February (1971) Australia, Scott #438, 25-cent multi-colored stamp from the "Flowers in Natural Colours" set originally issued on 10th July 1968. This stamp was postmarked on this date in 1971 in Crows Nest, New South Wales, which is apparently a suburb of Sydney. I have digitally cropped this image from the "entire", which I have intact. The cover was mailed from NSW to San Leandro, California for business purposes. I chose this stamp and postmark for today in honour of our newest member on TSF, tempphilatelist, who has already started some new, interesting threads in her quest to learn more about stamp collecting. And if you can tell us anything about Crows Nest that we wouldn't find on Wikipedia, we would be keen to hear it. Cheers, L!

Scott #69 cancelled in Kempten on 5 Feb, 1900. Checked wiki and found no mention of Kempteni or Kempten 1 Finally figured out how to find old photos -- typed "Kempten 1900" and got this touched up photo.

7th February (1927) Nyasaland Protectorate, Scott #26, 1p rose red definitive stamp, depicting King George V and postmarked on this date in 1927. The city name appears to begin with "L", but I was not able to track it down during a brief search. Any comments on that are welcome. From Wikipedia: "Nyasaland, or the Nyasaland Protectorate, was a British Protectorate located in Africa, which was established in 1907 when the former British Central Africa Protectorate changed its name. Between 1953 and 1963, Nyasaland was part of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. After the Federation was dissolved, Nyasaland became independent from Britain on 6 July 1964 and was renamed Malawi."

10th FebruarySpain, Edifil #TG92, 10-peseta blue telegraph stamp, cancelled on this date, probably between 1949-1951. The fact that these are not listed in Scott indicates that they were not used for postage at any point, either. The purple date stamp would seem to indicate revenue usage as intended. Many thanks to @falshung for providing me with the correct catalogue reference for this stamp.
