Posted somewhere in Germany using this 70¢ self-adhesive coil stamp (Sc.#2877) issued on December 16, 2015 which shows a microscopic view of a diatom.

December 29Postmarked on this date in Grindelwald, Switzerland on this date in 1966. The 5 centimes plus 5 centimes, perf. 11.5, greenish blue semi-postal stamp depicting an ermine was issued on December 1, 1966 (Scott B360).

Some lovely cancels yesterday and today! I especially like your 1996 Honolulu, Beryllium Guy . First of all, thanks to Mick for the nice shout-out in his 24th December post.... I appreciate that! Since I lived on the island of Oahu for 2 years in the 1980s, I have had contacts there ever since, so I have a reasonable selection of postmarks from Honolulu over the years since, particularly from the Christmas season. 30th December (1881) Switzerland, Sc 62 10-centime rose definitive stamp depicting seated Helvetia (Sc type A18), postmarked on this date in 1881 in Lausanne, with a very nice clear-strike cancellation.  |

Posted somewhere in Germany using the American & British zone Historic Buildings 80 pfennig definitive showing the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin (Sc.#655, Mi.: 94wg), perf. 14, issued on September 1, 1948. From the American/British zone stamps. Not sure where it was cancelled. Maybe someone knows. Looks to me like “(20a) C…)
 A clue to where it was cancelled could be in this map of older German postal zones. I looked, but didn't find a city/town starting with a "C" in that zone. I'll have to have another go of it later.

12th January (1937) France, Sc 161, 5-centime cerise definitive stamp, depicting The Sower (La Semeuse in French), postmarked in Paris on this date in 1937. I would like to make this post in honor of my good friend Rene ( renden), who recently sent me a nice packet full of stamps of France, including several of this solid Sower design (Scott Type A22). 17th January (1962) Denmark, Sc 385, 30-ore rose red definitive stamp depicting King Frederik IX, originally issued in 1961, and postmarked in Copenhagen on this date in 1962. This is yet another example of a very fine CDS cancel from Denmark. I have found quite a few nice postmarks from Denmark looking through my accumulation.
