  Hmmm, jpg's were converted to png's with lengthy, unruly names, maybe I just never noticed before!

USA postcard celebrating 100 years of weather services.
 You'd think being a weatherman for my entire career would lead me to a weather topical collection. It didn't, probably because I'd never be able to mount them all in a specific order, as there'd forever be other stamps to add. Maybe I can start now! This is a great start to that collection!

Bob, great post, and congratulations on having such an important date in history captured on a postmark! 1st September 1939 was, of course, the date on which Germany invaded Poland and opened the European theatre of WWII.
