8 February 1942 Ivory Coast YV161,issued in 1940 and with a postmark from Abidjan.  8 February 1947 French West Africa YV 10,issued in 1945 and with a cancellation from Togo,possibly Lome.Togo was not part of the French West Africa federation but I have found numerous stamps postmarked in Togo,all from Lome.  |

11 February 1928 French Sudan YV40,issued in 1925 and with a postmark from Ambibedi,a small town in Mali.  11 February 1939 Togo YV 139,issued in 1924 and with a postmark from Atakpame.  11 February 1947 French West Africa YV16,issued in 1945.The postmark is from Nouna,French Sudan. There were boundary changeslater in 1947 and Nouna became part of Upper Volta,now known as Burkina Faso.  11 February 1965 Bechuanaland Protectorate SG 170,issued in 1961 and with a Ghanzi B.P. cancellation.  |

A Germania with a nice cancel, and there is a spa town in Germany called Bad Orb, which to me looks like it is in the middle of nowhere, ENE of Frankfurt, and a Famous Women definitive, cancelled in Berlin.

12 February 1868 France YV 20,issued in 1862. The postmark shows Senat...the only place I can find in Wikipedia is Taxat-Senat,so have no idea if this is the same location. It might also be a government cancellation from the Senate.  |

Definitely a Senate cancellation anglobob. The French Sénat and Assemblée Nationale both have their own post offices. Such cancellations are quite sought after by specialists. Hang on to that one! |

Four for today...
Württemberg 3 Kreuzer Rose. Too bad it is damaged from someone cutting. Looks like 1873 for usage, but not entirely sure, but definitely posted from Stuttgart.
Then, a West German 15pf Famous Personalities issue showing Luther. I can't find this guy, so not sure if the paper is plain or fluorescent.
A pair of se-tenant coil Machin's next, also damaged, but with a nice, clear cancel.
And lastly, Germany's 100pf homage to the Glienicke Bridge, in Berlin.

19th February (1912) German South West Africa, Sc29 (probable), 20-pfennig ultramarine definitive stamp depicting the Kaiser's yacht, Hohenzollern, postmarked on this date in 1912 in the town of Kuibis, in what is present-day Namibia. I did a search for the town of Kuibis, and all I could find was geographical location based on satellite data. Nothing on population or anything about the town, so I don't know if it is just a tiny village then, or really why there seems to be so little info about the place online. Note for Today: I would like to give a shout-out of thanks to Xavier ( hrdoktorx ) for suggesting that I post this example for today. I sent him some scans of stamps for a possible trade, and he was the one who noticed that this date was approaching and suggested that I post it here. So, thanks Dr. X, good call!
