February 21, 1946 Occupied Germany, 42 Pfennige (postage for registered mail); Michel # 930 (so called "Gemeinschaftsausgabe" or "Kontrollratsausgabe"; valid in all occupied zones excepted French zone) Letter from Bamberg to Schwäbisch Hall  This stamp was issued on Februar 11, 1946 for registered mail. The postage changed on March 1, 1946 (84 Pf for registered mail). Therefore the postage with this stamp for registered mail was only possible for 2-3 weeks. The letter is approved by Schlegel BPP Berlin. |

February 25Seeing as how Timbromania will be airing on the APS You Tube channel in less than two hours, I thought it fitting to post an item with a cinematic theme. This first day cover was postmarked in Beverly Hills, California on this date in 2003. It bears a 37 cent stamp from the 10-stamp American Film Making: Behind the Scene issue (Scott 3772d )(Music - Max Steiner working on a score) and sports a colorful Steve Wilson Jurassic Park cachet.
