24 July 2017 France Montimbramoi stamp,issued in 2017 to celebrate Les Juliobonales festival in Lillebonne, a small commune in Normandy.  Lillebonne was an important centre in Roman times.Every two years,Lillebonne organizes a Gallo-Romano festival ,Les Juliobonales. This stamp is very similar to poster stamps from the 1920s and 1930s which commemorated local events such as shows and festivals,the only difference being this is valid for postage. The postmark is from La Frenaye,another small commune in Normandy. |

Canada 15 - 5c Vermillion on cover from NIAGARA tied by a moderate target with JY 25/64 C.W. split ring cancel. NIce cover with beautifully handwritten address.

26 July 1945 A letter from French West Africa to France with an interesting assortment of stamps and with a postmark from Saint Louis,Senegal AOF YT 17,issued in 1945 Togo YT 156a,issued in 1938 Togo YT 175,issued in 1939 to commemorate the World Fair in New York Mauritania YT 115 ,issued in 1940.  The recipient of the letter,a M Emile Etablet worked in several of the African colonies as I have found several other letters sent to him.This particular letter was sent to the headquarters of the French colonial empire in Paris. |

27 July 2010 France . A stamp from 2010 Collector Series of 10 stamps showung various views of the Route de Rhum.This is a trans-atlantic yacht race from St Malo to Guadeloupe and is held every 4 years.The postmark is from Paris Louvre RP.  |

German Empire 20 mark Miners definitive issued in 1923. Posted in Finsterwalde, in the former DDR or East Germany. It had a population of ≈17,000 in 1923, climbed to ≈24,000 in 1990 but has lost ≈8,000 since re-unification.

renden @wert - That flag cancel is a Type 7. Type 8 is similar but with heavy bars above and below CANADA extending across the flag.

@wert - I guess it matters what reference / type one is using, That example identified as "8" is among Canadian collectors, Type 9, horizontal lines, and is much much scarcer than the Type 7 and 8 styles. Has Doug Lingard gotten anywhere close to completing his Flag Cancel Handbook reivision? |

Beliumm TR44 3 Franc - The top two stamp-s look as though they could have been a horizontal pair, and they were placed on the scanner at random. These were part of a lot of ~ 560 of these stamps from an obliteration study lot- I could almost make a calendar from what i have!  |
