I went through the whole thread and, surprisingly to me, the Canadian "Royal William" issue from 1933 has not been shown here yet. So here is the very fine specimen that renden has been kind enough to add to his latest giveaway:

First "Five Year Plan" definitives. Upper stamp:Lithography-print,issued Aug.10th,1953 (Michel no.377),from a set of 18; Lower stamp: Typography-print,issued Nov.21st,1953(Mi.no.420),from a set of 18;
Of both sets exist reprints from 1957.The reprints were sold with machine-printed cancellation only. The reprints were produced in big numbers (20 millions sets each) mainly for export.They can rather easily be distiguished from the originals.They cost only a small percentage of the original sets.
The typo-type was overprinted and revalued to 50 Pfg. in 1954.

The "Galera Real" (Royal galley) was the flagship of the Christian fleet that beat the Turks at the October 1571 Lepanto battle. She was built at Barcelona's old shipyard. Since 1571, a life-size reproduction of the galley can be seen at Barcelona's Sea Museum (Museu Marítim de Barcelona); which stands at the old shipyard.

United States stamp commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Mobile Bay, Alabama. CSS Tennessee is steaming in from the left, in front of Fort Morgan. The monitor USS Tecumseh is sinking in the foreground after hitting a torpedo (surface mine). Admiral Farragut's flagship USS Hartford is second wooden ship in line behind USS Brooklyn.
