I usually accomplish more if I do not have "set" plans so 2019 will be the same. With good health, it should permit me to finish Chile (in a few hours) and get back to Brazil, complicated, but I have necessary help and expect some "dups" !!!!!!!! a chore - I have to spend some time reviewing my Canada Large and Small Queens and I have the books/references to do that.....measure-shades-perfs-books.......!! Patience !!! René Since one has the ability to "change his mind", I am not going back to Brazil or making pages for that Country. It is Czechoslovakia I have to redo (at least the old ones) since I have "problems" with the Wmks ! and have over 1,300 stamps inventoried but some I left in the original books, numbered and more recent....bought by my late dad. I will check the Steiner Pages and probably replace all the pages of Vol 1 Scott's International. After that, yes for Large Queens and Small Queens redo....already in Custom pages (once I finish, will probably replace the existent custom Pages) But before all this, I might (today) buy #1-2-3 Cook Islands....waiting for the dealer to call me back - all this the fault of @falshung René Sounds good, René! If/when you get those, would love to see some images, of course. Yes, Nelson's (@falshung) beautiful posts of great material often inspire me to want to add similar items to my own collection. Just another instance of that whole focus problem I mentioned to you in another recent post.

One thing that I would like to do this year is to do more research into the areas that I collect. In the past, I just collected the stamps without doing much, if any, research about them. I have already begun to expand my philatelic library and have quite a list of titles to get as I can find them.

Al,
30 minutes or less on a good day and an hour or more on days when dealing with things such as membership requests, reported posts, software glitches, etc. -- a self-inflicted problem.
I'm going to see if batch processing of notifications requiring action rather than addressing them as received will reduce the amount of time spent on admin tasks.

My philatelic todo list for the year...
* Buy more catalogs/literature/knowledge - already checked (there's a big 4kg box of specialized catalogs coming my way)
* spend less time online, and more time with the stamps/collection

By the way, your new avatar is very cool.... nice way to re-start your presence on the Forum! Hi Chris, thanks for the comment about the avatar. I'm pretty sure the Oscars are my favourite stamp set. That particular stamp is proof that a 'cheap' stamp can be remarkable. I mean, who can look at those early Swedish postmarks and not fall in love?

'batch processing' oh that takes me back to school when explaining the difference between batch & real-time processing to my teacher, citing EF Codd's work on relation models and conservation of information in database design. She did look sort of blank after the first few words . We did not even have a teacher qualified to take the course five of us were teaching ourselves.
