After replacing a few thousand images, one learns things they didn't know at the start of the process. When you come upon a post with the Photobucket "100%" blocked ransom image, left click on the image and a page will open in Photobucket. If the original image shows you can right click on it and save the image to your computer for upload to your new image host. If the "100%" image shows, right click on it and select "save image as" and the original image will be saved to your computer. I wish I new that 10 days ago.

I have tried a number of times but have given up on that one. It keeps on showing the '100%' box whatever way I do it. Now another problem has arisen ! I have been downloading images to the TSF Image host and getting along well with several albums to make replacing the images on the forum easier when I get started. But I realized that I have to have the pictures elsewhere as well so when the time comes later to replace images elsewhere I can do that without having to work the same routine again with another host !!!! PB has really made things tough. So now I am using Postimage and truly hope that this site does not go the same way as Photobucket because to do this again might just be too much !! LB1

Is there anything that one needs to do to get going on Postimage ? Like click to say you've read the terms of use or something similar. I have joined up and have my own page but can do nothing. Looking for some kind of 'entry' click but cannot find it.
I guess in the end I will look back on this time and have a good laugh !!

I don't recall one. Once you have signed in to your account do you see a link named "My Images"? This is the page I see after I've logged in ... is yours a different one?

I am not able to upload any pictures as the 'error' notice is continually appearing. Has anyone else experienced this ?

I can't even log out to log in again. 'request denied' is all I get for any action. Hope it's only me !! In the meantime, I will comfort myself with a glass of red wine !!

What a lame excuse to drink! Kidding aside, like you, I have encountered such problems. If you look at the sign in page you will notice a "Keep me logged in" box to the right of the "Sign in" button. If you check that box your problems will go away and you can put the cork back in that bottle. As now both you and I have learned, the software will sign you out without notice after a period of inactivity (I haven't yet figured out how long that is). The reason your request to sign out was denied was that you already were signed out. That is also the reason why you kept getting the "error" message when trying to upload. I'll see if the software developer is willing to add a "you've been signed out due to inactivity" or similar alert in a future program update.

What a lame excuse to drink! Well, I think it's a fine excuse for a glass of red wine.... Cheers, LB1! What are you drinking tonight--perhaps a nice cabernet from the Golan Heights? I am a big fan of Israeli wines, and I once attended a big wine and food festival at Yarden, which was great.

Should anyone come across Photobucket blocked images, please let me know which threads they are in. Using the "report post" option is the easiest way to accomplish that.

For those unable to retrieve Photobucket images in order to migrate them to another host, there seems to be a solution:
Someone has written a Photobucket Hotlink Fix, which is available as an Add-on for Google Chrome and Mozilla search engines. I have successfully added this to Chrome and have been able to view my entire library. I have also been able to download an image for test purposes. Here are the results from 15 minutes ago: It would seem that just by adding this to Chrome (I can't comment on Mozilla) it creates a small icon next to the search bar. Then by signing into Photobucket, your account should be visible. It took about three attempts at signing in, before everything appeared; so persist. Here are the links: Google Chrome Photobucket Hotlink FixMozilla Photobucket Hotlink FixThere is a suggestion that it is also possible to add images to your account rapidly. Why anyone would tempt fate though, I don't understand.

A nice extension and useful for those wanting access to and/or download of their blocked files.
The major downside is that, once you have the extension installed on chrome, all previously blocked PB images in forum posts (both yours and those of others) will appear to you but they remain blocked to those who don't have the extension installed.
However, once the blocked image reappears in the post you are able to right click on it and save it to your hard drive for uploading to a different image host.

For those that couldn't repair their threads, this may be the way to at least access their images and put them somewhere else. I wasn't proposing that Photobucket should be used for any display purposes within threads. But it may be advisable to act sooner rather than later, in case PB manages to assassinate these fixes.

For those interested in repairing their blocked images, I offer the following approach:
Open TSF in Chrome (with extension installed) and in another browser (I used Edge).
Ensure that you are logged in to the Forum on both browsers.
Use the search function to isolate your posts in each browser.
The non-Chrome browser will allow you to see which of your images are blocked.
Chrome will allow you to right-click and save those images to your hard drive and subsequently upload the new image links into your post.
When you need a break, just remember which page of your search results you had been working on.

I've started to do this, it's still a long-winded effort but a bit quicker than searching for the images I have already. Doing it this way I can at least have all the images in one place on my computer and I don't need to look for the images which can take time. Until now I have uploaded all the images to the Forum Host without checking which ones I need. Now I will have 2 scans of each on my hard drive, this is the downside !!! No easy fix but I'll stick with this way now as it will be quicker....slightly !! (Still gotta upload to TSF Image host and edit each post )

UPDATE.
I have reached March 1st 2015 in getting the images back and maybe, just maybe I will complete that first phase in the next day or two. I put the images in one place on the computer and will do the same when uploading to the TSF Image host although they will be mixed up, it will be quicker than going from album to album. Then there is all the editing to do for each of the posts. There is no quick fix and it will take many months to complete if all goes smoothly. In that regard, I have just lost MS Edge browser and Windows 10 made a huge mess of my laptop during an update for which only a very flimsy apology was forthcoming. Basically, they don't give a s**t !! So many of my files don't open and there are many things I cannot do but luckily it hasn't affected the picture gallery so does not effect the replacing of pictures here.
Yet !!!

It appears that Photobucket has dealt yet another blow to our Forum.
First, they held images for ransom,
Next, they watermarked those images that remained.
Now, they have blurred the images.
If you are or were a Photobucket user, please consider requesting and then using a TSF Image Host account.

Oh my, I had a little weep when I came to post after reading a few previous entries. But I wanted to say that PB have been pestering me every day for the last two weeks (yes, an email every day) pleading with me to send them extortionate amounts of money to keep my account alive. Big winter job coming up editing all those posts that I never got around to..........because of Buckets games. Grrrrrrrr!!!! Londonbus1

Unfortunately, those images posted by Rod and others long since gone are not recoverable. I'm just thankful to have been able to save the few thousand images that I did.

To police, you would have to disable BBC codes for images so they would have to use another method.
