smauggie , It's difficult to pin down specifics without the cancel number that's at the bottom of the oval, but based upon the sailing tables, the ship on which this was transported may have been the Eleonore Woermann. The Eleonore Woermann was in Monrovia on 15 December 1902, and arrived in Hamburg on 28 December 1902. The complete cancel would be number Hamburg-Westafrika number XXVII.
