In Portland, Connecticut on August 24, 2023, the USPS issued four self-adhesive, non-denominated Presorted First-Class Mail (25¢) stamps highlighting historic to modern engineering architecture. Issued in coil format of 3,000 and 10,000, each coil consists of four designs: Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge (Scott 5808), Skydance Bridge (Scott 5809), Iowa-Illinois Memorial Bridge (Scott 5810), and Arrigoni Bridge (Scott 5811, shown below). A horizontal coil strip of four is categorized by Scott as 5811a. This stamp arrived in my mail yesterday on a mailing from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. These stamps are intended for business mailers and their use requires a special permit and a minimum of 500 letters. The Arrigoni Bridge, locally known as the Portland Bridge, is a steel through arch bridge across the Connecticut River. The bridge connects Connecticut's Middletown and Portland.

tomiseksj - I just received a mailing yesterday with a plate number from this set. These are great designs - a real improvement over many bulk rate or presorts. FYI - your pic is so large that I can’t see the entire stamp on my tablet screen

philatelia, I'm not sure why you're having that difficulty as I can see the entire image on my smartphone.

tomiseksj - this is really weird. But you’re right, It looks fine on my I-phone, too. It is also large on the phone screen, but it isn’t cut off. Must be IOS iPad formatting issue. Thanks for the response. It’s not an important issue so no worries. Edit - hubby says it is because my iPad has a super high resolution screen, and the phone uses a different, lower resolution FYI here’s what I see - it is very blown up

A London icon. Attractive and very special (to me). Tower Bridge as depicted by the Gravure Institute, Paris.

From the Mozambique set of general purpose stamps issued in 1948-49, two show the bridge over the Zambeze river:

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

The Canada Confederation Bridge stamps were issued on May 31, 1997. They are Unitrade 1645 and 1646. There is a se-tenant strip of one of each with a tab between listed as 1646a. This is newer than I normally collect but the full pane is nice enough that I will keep it rather than use the stamps for postage. The bridge connects the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. There was also this first day cover for the issue. I am including a scan of both sides so that viewers can read the history of this engineering and architectural wonder. I did drive across it a few years ago. I had crossed by ferry several times as well.
