Found in my colleague's gift from yesterday, this Swedish stamp of a canal bridge from 1968 I couldn't figure out what I was looking at until I searched for photo's. Then it all became clear. It's a very interesting canal!

May not be appropriate for the thread as these are not stamps, but instead a bit of a philatelic oddity. The following images of bridges are from the backs of "philatelic maps" produced by famed Canadian stamp dealer Kasimir Bileski in 1947...
and just for the record, the maps are depicted on the front. Not sure what Mr. Bileski had in mind for these, but I think they are interesting...

We see it already in feebletodix 's posts for the Ethiopian lots, but let's put this stamp in the thread it belongs, from the 1947 series, this issue featuring the Bahr Dar bridge over the Blue Nile: We're likely to hear more about Ethiopia and the Blue Nile in the coming months as the Renaissance Dam is completed, which will have consequences for the downriver countries of Sudan and Egypt, particularly the latter, and is already causing quite a lot of friction.

One of my favourite stamps from the 1950s depicting one of the most scenic bridges in Stockholm, Årstabron. From the series commemorating the centenary of railroads in Sweden, issued in 1956.

In 2000 Sweden became connected with central Europe for the first time since Ice Age with the building of Öresundsbron. The Swedish and Danish jointly issued stamps depicting the bridge in the same year.
