What I collect: Worldwide - Stamps and Postmarks - not enough time...

Today I decided to invest in a long sought after item - an Ascension forerunner. I've looked through 1000's and 1000's of UK stamps without ever detecting one myself, so I finally decided I had to bite the dust as it seemed I would never find any. So I simply bought this example already identified by someone else: These forerunners are somewhat difficult to find even on the marketplace - and the prices are often equal to or even above the actual listed catalog prices. So for these it seems the catalogs are actually filling its original purpose of being a pricelist Looking forward to getting this piece mounted in my album, as my forerunner page is currently just an empty void - but it will soon get to look something like this: Well, the stamp is still actually with the seller - but I could not wait to get it into my album, so I simply cheated by "pre-mounting" it digitally on my custom page Anybody else having forerunners from Ascension? If so, Please show them - these treasures simply deserves to be shared. Jon

Nice find. Considering how the island is sparsely populated it will be a real challenge to find GB stamps with Ascension postmarks.

Thanks kgvi. Your absolutely right about the population and therein is the key to my fascination for these. The very small population on Ascension did not leave very much postal history items behind.

Thanks a lot Rene, very much appreciated. I'm still working on the French dups for yourself, albeit very slow progress 😏
