I use Elmer's Craft Bond glue stick to attach mounts. This allows time to refine position and usually remove mount later without damaging pages. It claims to be acid free and photo safe,

I have tried to remove one from memory, after 5 years or so, and it appeared permanent, I did not want to damage the album page. Postmaster may wish to chip in, regarding his experience. After several years they are still easy to remove, but they can adhere to the page enough that removing them will do minor damage to the page. Also, it's important to note that Scotch makes regular double-sided tape and double-sided scrapbooking tape. The one you want is the scrapbooking tape, since the regular tape is definitely not safe for using around stamps. The scrapbooking tape comes in two types – removable and permanent – though in my experience, permanent is still removable.

rod222, I understand what your mean by using tiny strips. My Scotch tape doesn't say "safe" for anything. So, I'll go to the arts and crafts store and buy the Scotch scrapbooking tape that you posted.

Takes a bit of getting used to, sharp scissors and a black background needed for cutting and nimble fingers to place the tiny strips. I somehow get the strip hanging off the end of the scissors, and attach it with a fingernail, to the mount. Whatever works for you
