Sorry for any inconvenience. I found them listed separately from Germany and DDR. Thanks all the same.

This was also posted in the tread: " Whatcha Been Stamping?" but for future reference I also posted it here. (admin to move or correct as they like) Working to set up my Bayern/Bavaria collection. This is Michel 53, comes in 4 different types on two different papers according to Michel. Paper change in 1900. I really struggle both with paper and colours here. But the scan show that the center stamp has whitis paper, and the year on postmark place this on the "white to yellow white" paper. Then there is the first stamp with postmark from 1899, it has to be on matt orange-white to matt-reddish paper, even if it dont look to orange-red to me. The tree others has paper that looks like the first, but...... Then there is colours. Mainly purple to violet in different shades. Damn, this is hard. But I have decided that number one is: 53xa and number three is: 53ya I have no idea of the exact Scott numbers, or if they do split them as much as this. They all have this watermark

Received today, the uncirculated 50Pfg red-brown 1914 Bavarian service stamp with an "E" perforation, MiNr. DII: The “E” perforated initial , “perfin” indicates a stamp for railway use , in German “Eisenbahn” . these replaced the earlier coat of arms type which were overprinted with the letter E . I have a small selection on sale on eBay this week . I’ll post a link and a scan later for information . item number 402061172202

20 Pfennig 1888 comes according to Michel (Germany special) with two different papers (x and y) and 4 different colours/shades. This gives 6 different stamps, 4 on paper x and 2 on paper y. They are all perforated 14½ but there are two sizes on the punch holes! Small A and 'bigger' B. Only one paper/colour with A perf. That give us one more stamp= 7. Funn I think I have found four different, and these are all the not pricey types. I dont have (as far as I can see any stamp with A perf) 57Bxa (€1,60) Yellow white to orange white paper (x). Ultramarin (a) 57Bxb (€5,00) Yellow white to orange white paper (x). Grey ultramarin (b) 57Bya (€1,00) White paper (y) Dark Ultramarin (a) 57Byb (€3,00) White paper (y) Grey ultramarin (b)

Nice variety tobben63 Concerning the different sizes of the perforation holes - I opted to disregard that, found it difficult to distiguish between the two, many stamps seemed to be somewhere in the middle...

I agree with that, I may have some, I may not...... In Michel there is a guide to place the stamp on, but the difference is so small that all stamps fit on all gudes

He Chris, You didn't send me a Bavaria wish list (or airmail, officials, etc.), send it to me. I have more Bavaria extras than anything else. I buy Bavaria more than regular Germany. LOL. Or anyone else that needs some Bavaria, send me your want lists, I will see what I have to help you out. I am almost done filling the Germany lists this week, hope to finish this weekend finally. I thought I was done, but I had two new stockbooks that I had bought, and there were plenty in there that some people needed.

Thank you very much, Mike ( mikeclevenger )! I will need to check to see if I have my Bavaria holdings with me here in Oxford. If I do, I will put together a list. If not, then I won't be able to do it until April when I am back in the US. In any event, I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity to me and others here. Please do PM me about those UK stock sheets you wanted, as I would really like the chance to do something nice for you as way of saying thanks. -Chris

Spent part of the morning soaking one "pile" and removing Germany from pages for the next round. I find I have quite a few Bayren stamps, but I'm not sure the top stamp belongs...I think it is Northern Federation... but admittedly this is new uncharted waters for me, but by the time I get this sorted I should have a much better idea about these things than I do now- i have a 6" stack of pages , Varios, and stock sheets.... mostly pages that have been removed from a large number of WW albums Bottom stamp has the 17mm watermark

Received today, Bavarian embossed coat of arms issue with wide cross-hatch watermark, MiNr. 25ya, 7 kr. ultramarine: Centering leaves something to be desired, but it will do as filler until a better copy comes along.

Scott #185 nothing rare, but a nice mint stamp, well centered and i found the printers color marks in the margin to be the most interesting! Not worth much, but a nice stamp still 1919

Here is my page for the Luitpold issues, in all 3 types. Missing only the 80pf for type II. As I understand it, it may be rather difficult to find. Another stamp I find neat is this Luitpold 5pf issue with a cogwheel cancel, like what was used on the old imperfs. Only one I have of these with such a cancel. Not sure if it's considered scarce or not.
