I like that logo - and that dog is one of my favourite Newfie stamps.

It is a good looking logo but, absent any knowledge of the forum, I'd guess that it was a Newfoundland specialty group.
I think having a central image indicative of a world wide focus might be more representative of this forum.

Opinion: Very nice Jack! the bottom "FOURM" not so tasty. Prefer the Serif fount though, and black background. 4 flags too busy, the canine is excellent.

Style 3, the dog, and Forum not Fourm, so far for me. but I'll get along with any choice.
Your shopfront banner should indicate a philatelic marque that reflects good philatelic content, study, and fellowship. It will be there for a long time. Choose wisely. (As I debated with my son, for the negative, regarding a query on tattoos)

Opinion: The 4 stamps whilst looking nice, appear a little white european centric, what about collectors from Germany? Tuvalu, Grreenland, Colombia, Acre? One could contemplate the Patron Saint of Philately, but having Santa Claus, on the banner would be a bit tacky.

How about this, Penny Black first postage stamp Grand mother of all stamps. I also can do one with a white back ground

No one points out the folly of stacking albums?
On edge, good man, on edge. And where are the slipcases? Nowhere in evidence.
Oh, the humanity! We'll be the laughing-stocks of philatelic gatherings everywhere.

I like either the Newfoundland stamp or the 4 stamp designs the best. Just my 2¢.

If we can't have Rod222's avatar then I favor the composite centerpiece with a few additional images added to eliminate the need for the "worldwide" text string, such as:

Hi
The last logo looks nice. It has been mentioned to have the "albums" vertical. Is that even possible? If so what does it look like, using the same composite image and text.

I was mostly kidding about the stacked albums...no need to change it on my account. I probably would go with FORUM, however...

Can you post the composite image, I think I like it Because I only own one of the stamps, this composite of closely-cropped images is the best I could do.

I like the triangle one the best but I think it is leaning to heavy on the British. I think Germany is a must as it is the home of the most serious collectors. My pick would be one of the 5M Reichposts at the bottom of page shown below. Russia is another I would consider.

Still don't know what I am doing wrong with this quote business and adding my post to it. By Triangle one I meant the one Jack posted 55 minutes, or so, ago from this post. Just noticed there is no time stamp on the posts. I think if possible this is something that needs to be done as it makes it difficult to refer to posts. Of course feel free to use any of my images you might want.

Personally, since we all know that storing stamp albums horizontally is a really bad practice, I don't think having them lying down as a forum logo will give a good impression. Secondly, I feel that a composite stamp image is such a common image that it will hardly be memorable. Sorry to be negative... But, on a positive note I still like my logo best!

Careful when you say "we all". I have been storing mine flat in my safes for 25 years without a problem so I don't know what the rest of you do. Perhaps you have all stored your hundreds of albums flat for longer than 25 years and had a problem. Guess I just need to catch up

Though I store most of my albums vertical, I have some flatties like antoniusra, stored for years without problems.
