Galdorf, Wurttemburg February 28, 1897Official postal stationary up-rated with official stamps. The pink label says "cash on delivery". I am not sure what that is about.

Afterwards, Württemberg got to issue some more stamps during the period of French occupation from 1945 to 1949. The first two sets of issues:

The commemorative issues from Württemberg during the French occupation period, and, on the bottom row, the obligatory rebuilding tax stamps. The #1 of those I had an opportunity to buy for the small small price of 600 Euros. I passed.

hrdoktorx, I really like your album pages. Did you design them, or are they from a European maker?

hrdoktorx , I really like your album pages. Did you design them, or are they from a European maker? They are from a German company. I wouldn't know how to make such album pages. I have a subscription with that company that sends me monthly stamps to buy and the album comes in a at discounted price early on with the subscription (usually 20-30 euros). I have been with them for nearly 20 years now, which has allowed me to fill up quite nicely. For the French occupation stamps (French Zone/Baden/Rheinland-Pfalz/Württemberg) I'm only missing the one shown above. Older German states and colonies, I now have quite solid holdings. Same for the Weimar republic and Third Reich periods. And I have a complete set for the FRG from 1949 onwards (excepting some of the modern [post-2004] self-adhesive issues). For modern Saarland, I am only missing the two blocks issued for the flooding victims of 1947-48, which are way outside my price range.

In our long-going trade, now spanning several months and a few hundred stamps on both sides, Beryllium Guy and I are considering these revenue stamps from Württemberg, but we cannot find any info about them. Can anybody help us identify them, and provide us with year of issue and CV?

These are 1911 Revenues, 12 in the series, the lower values are very common and readily available as singles, pairs and blocks. The 5, 10 & 50M values are much less common and difficult to find.

Just missing Michel #259 on this page: Send me your address in a PM and I will send you the #259, as long as you can live with a mint hinged, I have several extras right now. I just want to see that page complete. I might have some more you need, send me the numbers you need. Thanks, Mike.

I got the album as part of my Württemberg stamp subscription to a German stamp dealer, which still sends me stamps on a monthly basis on approval. I have others like this for other areas of my German collection.
