Perhaps unechan can assist with this one. My Japanese is limited but the top part seems to read something about Postal Service. Perhaps just a local postcard

This is a military postcard, which I am totally a novice in this field... Looks like a private print (i.e. not officially issued by the postal agency); I will further investigate its provenance...
The top part could be read (from right to left) as “postcard”, the four red characters in the box left is “military post”, and the inscription in the small box below is “censored”.

After some quick search on the Web, I found some used examples of the military postcard posted by nl1947. Note the personal seal in the "censored" box. Both examples were dispatched from Manchuria to Japan. I'm still not quite sure about the provenance of this postcard (seems to be called as "Helmet and Dove" military postcard), but seems to be used very widely in various locations during the WW2. Perhaps printed by the military agency and distributed to the soldiers... - Hironobu

Further investigation on the "Helmet and Dove" military postcard; seems that several variation do exist; Example of dark yellowish inkMight be due to color fading, but looks apparently more brighter in color... Example of Pale red, censored box missing.(thus with vertical script "censored" box hand stamp in red) The fascinating thing about this forum is I always learn a lot, even whilst trying reply to a query. Thanks to all for such a wonderful give-and-take of knowledge. - Hironobu - edited for appropriate referencing to original Blog posts, copied images removed due to copyright protection.

I should have looked further - found more in my files under military but no date... Since these are not really suited for this stamp thread, I will ask Admin to move to Japanese Military Postcards

The inscription in the middle of the second postcard says “Issued by Donation Division of Army”: 陸軍恤兵部発行.
Interesting to see that it is issued by the army and not by the postal agency, and also to know that the issuance cost of the postcard was supported by donation from the public. Learning a lot again ! The small inscription at the bottom shall be showing the printers name.
