I have found examples on Hip Stamp and all seem to date to 1950, but none give a Scott or SG#
some refer to as a postal fiscal ....

Yes, I noticed, in my searches...which mostly resulted in stamp offerings with no Scot or SG# a reference to postal fiscals.... not sure if thatv translates to stamp duty.... onr in truth WTH "stamp duty"actually" refers to....postage due... ? what suddenly i am hearing the Beatles tune Taxman in my head (great respect to George Harrison) Let me tell you how it will be There's one for you, nineteen for me 'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman Should five per cent appear too small Be thankful I don't take it all 'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah I'm the taxman If you drive a car, I'll tax the street, If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat. If you get too cold I'll tax the heat, If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet. Don't ask me what I want it for If you don't want to pay some more 'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman Now my advice for those who die Declare the pennies on your eyes 'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman And you're working for no one but me.

Not postage use, definitely not even Postage due! so that is why they are not in Scott or SG.
They cannot be called "POSTAL FISCAL" as they have no postal function. Fiscal yes, or revenue stamps but Postal NO!
They are "STAMP DUTY" that is revenue or tax stamps which are paid whenever a legal document is registered in Court ie land or property sales, such stamps would be fixed to the title deeds with the land registry to pay the court fees. The Oval cancel in purple ink is another clue of revenue use . That style and colour is never a postal cancel , not a "postmark"

I think I learn something new every day when I log in to the Forum. Great reading material. Now my problem will be to remember where I read this info should I ever need to access again. I have a great memory on materials read but I am useless when it comes to remembering where I read it.
i do bookmark webpages but have yet to really organize them in any easily searchable way. Another project to remember?
