This may well end up being the biggest TSF meeting to date. I have had interest from 6 of our members. We should use this thread (thanks stanley64) to keep any interest up to date as well as any info about the event. Londonbus1

I can talk to her if you like. I can make it sound official, like you have to come !! Thanks, Londonbus. I thing she will agree readily, she loves to travel and loves England! There may be a little scolding about how the only time I want to go anywhere is to attend a stamp show, but that's okay. A small price to pay. Hope to see you and the others there!

Many thanks to all of you who have posted about your plans to attend London 2020. I can now confirm that I am planning to attend, too. I had to make some adjustments to my own schedule due to a mistake on my part, but it is now corrected. I will be in the UK at the time of the show, and I will be there. Wouldn't miss it! Many thanks to Michael ( Londonbus1) for organizing this effort, and for setting me straight on the dates. I managed to get myself confused Between London 2020 in May and Stampex 2020 in London, which takes place later in the year. Anyway, barring some serious unexpected problem, I will be there. Count me in! -Chris

Hopefully, next month (January) will see no changes and European citizens can still visit the UK without the need of a passport (identity card only).
As it is now though, the event is still on my calendar and I have begun to search flights and accommodations for the first weekend...

Hi Rene:
A little better for those of us in the U.S., but yes, indeed, those London prices scare me too. I don't know how Londoners survive.
It will be worth it, though. Won't it? Someone tell me it will be.

Thanks for the reassurance, Bob. The one time I've been to London I thought the food was good, especially breakfast fare. If I can pull it off it will be a fun trip.

Don't let renden scare you too much. There is a lot of very reasonably-priced food in London and it is excellent. We shall go to the good places, have no fear. I am planning a Special Giveaway (read about it a little in the upcoming Newsletter) and I have some ideas for some fun extras during our meeting. Let's see how many are definitely coming and we can proceed. Be ready to bring some stamps with you !!!!! Londonbus1

Currently, you can put me down as a definite/maybe Londonbus1
In addition to the considerations shared earlier in the thread, my initial search for flights and accommodations found that London is not the most inexpensive of places when not on the corporate-expense account. I think though that this would be a great experience to see an exhibition of this caliber, not to mention the meet & greet of fellow TSF members, but need to consider the cost/value and will make a decision closer to the day...

Regarding food in London there is a lot of good restaurants. My wife and I was in London in september for four days. We attended several different restaurants (lunch and dinner) and all had good to very good food. But it's not cheep, but maybe same level as Norwegian prices where I live.
To find the good restaurants use Tripadvisor to find good rated restaurants.
