I also got this letter from an auction house in Sevilla (Spain). This stationery (from a Madrid 1999 stamp fair issue) took 2 days to reach Barcelona.
NOTE: if anyone is interested on it, it's for trade. If anyone is interested, send me a message.

A stationery from Andorra. Posted at Ordino-la Massa where the house depicted is. It also houses the Andorra Postal Museum. Small, but nice. Postmarked 28/08/2020 (August 28. 2020) arrived on September 7th.

Today's mail brought a a neat and tidy mailing from France using outdated Franc denominated stamps.
This cover bears 9.20 francs postage not counting the semi-postal surcharges of 1.20 francs.
I have searched in vain for a previous post which accounted for the value acceptance of old francs toward current euros.
If someone can link that post I would be grateful.

As far as I know, 1 € = 6.56 French francs in 2001

cursus - looks like the same today
edit:
Thus the 9.20 francs converts to 1.40 euros which is the Fench international letter rate for 20 grams or less.
Works out perfect. A Keeper of a cover!

Another item, even more curious, a letter from Hungary received last week franked with three 2.50 Ft stamps from 1970!
According to Hungary Post, the cost for a priority letter to the USA weighing 50 g or less is 710 HUF (Hungarian Florints)
This amount converts to US$ 2.29 or 1.95 euros which seems quite reasonable.
I wasn't able to find any useful info on the florint online which applies to this question.
What am I missing here?

This envelope made its way to my mailbox today. All those stamps and no cancel! Not even a marker monkey job! They must have thought it was just too much work either way!

I almost overlooked this one. Just a common presort, but then I noticed the "cancellation" was under the stamp.

I do save the mail/letters that I receive, but I rarely soak them (the stamps) or include the letter in my collection. (I don't collect new stamps) What I do is that I donate them to my local stamp club and they auction them on club auction. I could donate them here to, but the cost of sending them would be to much compared to the value of what you got.

Thanks for posting the image of your envelope, Joan ( cursus)! I am glad to see that the condition seems good, but I am frustrated by the lack of any postmarks on the stamps. There is one clerk at the Oxford PO who insists that the hand-cancel device is not to be used on the postage stamps, and he will only use it next to the stamps, not on them. Luckily, though, he is willing to use it on any Cinderellas, so at least he gives me that satisfaction!

Not exactly in today's mail, but this showed up in my mailbox back in 2005 sent to me by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. It contained a fishing license purchased online. I keep and collect a lot of covers that are considered by most as junk mail, but this one is the most clever mailing I have ever received in my 20 years of cover collecting. The envelope is semi-opaque and looks like it has a fish screened onto it. The fish is actually printed on card stock, inside the envelope, and opens up on removal . It held the fishing license and offered a bit of good will propaganda about the joys and benefits of fishing. It is the prize item of my "contemporary mail" cover collection.

Tied by US sorting barcode at bottom, cropped from an oversize window envelope without other postmarks, etc.

The Month of October
In the UK, October is Black History Month while in the USA October is Energy Awareness Month.
Hmmm. Do I see a new fun collection in its infancy?

Received in New Zealand from Canada 8th Oct (14 days travelling). Canada Post issued two stamps on April 29 2020 to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, celebrated May 8, 1945, after Nazi Germany surrendered to the Allied forces, ending World War II in Europe. According to Canada Post, these two non-denominated permanent rate (currently 92¢) stamps “tell the stories of Private Leo Major, who fought to liberate the Netherlands, and factory worker Veronica Foster, who helped recruit women to the wartime workforce. Together, they represent the more than two million Canadian men and women who played a key role in the Allied victory.” The two stamps are se-tenant (side-by-side) in booklets of 10. Lower stamp - Drs. M. Vera Peters, one of six Canadian researchers and physicians being recognized in the "Medical Groundbreakers" issue of Sept 2020

I haven't seen a cancel like that, Bas S Warwick! I wish Brighton had as nice a cancel! I'll have to show it to them when I go in a few minutes to pick up a parcel.

. Yes its an interesting cancel. Unfortunately here in NZ most PO's will not give a hand cancel. (Some of the little girlies dont even know what you are talking about, or even what a stamp collector is)
On another point its a long time since I was last in Brighton Pete. - In fact I calculate it was 21 years ago

Australian Stamp and Coin dealer used labels in PO shutdown period. .....Boring. Arrived 9th Oct - 21 days from Australia to NZ. Lack of flights now between AUS and NZ causes delays. Sometimes using shipping for mail.

We still have hand-stamped in Eastern Canada and I am working with Canada Post to have a "typical" Edmundston (N.B.) cancel which beats the present one and one we had in the late 1800s, circle, simple etc - They want to add a background of our City to it - we shall see The old one (repeat): 1895
