Scott finally added the South Vietnam National Liberation Front (Viet Cong) issues to their catalog so now there is a new listing Scott No. 1. These were listed in other catalogs. Note: My original post had the wrong image.

The money raised was used to maintain a sanitarium for employees of the postal service Is this really postal tax stamp no.1 ? It should be coloured black on blue-green.I think,it is the re-issue in chocolate or violet-brown (depending on the catalogue) from 1926.

French Post Offices in the Turkish Empire SG 1 Issued in 1885,and with a Constantinople,Turquie postmark from 6 March,1886. I found this in a lot of early Austrian stamps .The overprint looks a little suspicious and it is hard to tell on Retroreveal . Gibbons catalogue this at £12.50 for a used copy, and £650 for a mint copy.Would make more sense to put a fake overprint on a mint copy......

Zambia Sc1 SG91 issued October 24, 1964. Northern Rhodesia became an independent republic within the British Commonwealth as Zambia. While Scott lists Zambia from #1, Gibbons continues sequentially from Northern Rhodesia SG1-SG88.

Yemen Sc/SG 1-3 issued 1926. The sheets consist of 4 rows of 5 stamps each, making for a full sheet of 20 stamps. The print quality was poor. Numerous missing details in the design can be attributed to over and under-inking of the clichés.

Yemen Arab Republic Sc144 SG176 issued 1962. The northern portion of Yemen gained independence from Turkish rule in 1918 as an aftermath of WW1. This area then became the Yemen Arab Republic on 27 Oct 1962. This is a table from the First Issues Collectors Club firstissues.org that provides a summary of the Yemen first issues. † The List column shows where the entity is listed in the catalogues, Scott (and Gibbons in brackets where it differs). The abbreviations are A(den), SA (South Arabia), Y(emen), PDRY (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen). ‡ Gibbons begins a little earlier than Scott with unified Yemen, SG1 is Sc512.
