Hi All
Unfortunately at the moment I have contracted COVID. It has made me feel dreadful so I have not been doing much with my stamps or Queen. Hopefully in the next few days I will start to feel better. As a pharmacist who has had 2 of the Pzifer jabs, I wasn't expecting to feel so poorly after having the 2 jabs. Please, please if you haven't already, think about having the vaccination. I would dread to have seen how Ill I would have got without it. I had to have the emergency services out because it affected my breathing so badly. I dont believe I caught it on the front line at work as I wear PPE. I believe I have contracted it from my 17 year old daughter who also has Covid and doesn't have the vaccination because she is classified as being too young.

Nice you've got inoculation/insulation. Minimal symptoms and a quick recovery! Your experience leaves no doubt; sadly, this thing isn't over, not for a long while.

Hi Sarah,
So sorry to hear this. It is worrying that there are cases of people who have been double vaccinated getting Covid.
Wishing you and your daughter a speedy recovery.
All best wishes,
Daniel

So sorry I have been quiet. It took me 2 weeks to recover from covid. When I went back to work it was literally hell on earth.
In the end I walked out of my job in a terrible state as the emotions from 6 years of the strain of working for a supermarket and the tiredness and stress from covid just got the better of me. People can be very unkind at times and giving your all can still not be good enough. I quit my job. It has taken several weeks to start to recover and to have the confidence to try something new. I start a new job on Monday.
I know that it is thanks to my collecting and researching I have been able to have the confidence to discover a new path. I have all of you to thank. You gave me the confidence that I wasn't completely useless. I now have a new job caring for people which I hope I can be good at and make a difference.
I am still collecting but it has taken a bit of a back seat. I realised I was collecting to block out how awful I felt my real life was. Since quiting I still have the enthusiasm but it has taken a bit of a back seat.
Have loads more to share and I will bit by bit whilst I settle into my new job.
Again thank you to all that follow this post and for all your positive comments. Xxxxx

I was one of the first to be vaccinated in the UK as I work in frontline health care. I had my first jab in January and second in March. I am so glad I was double vaccinated as I dread to think how poorly I would have been without it. I am now waiting for my third booster. To anyone who hasn't been vaccinated I would strongly encourage it. It is a dreadful disease and I thank myself for being so lucky living and working in a country that has been able to be proactive.

There was some time back a discussion about the most expensive QEII stamp. Several proposals were made, although all were varieties with an error of some kind. Here's another contender. It's the Zambia issue, initially from Her Majesty's 60 th birthday set issued in 1986, and then locally overprinted in 1991. This is Sc#601, MiNr. 563, and YT#540J. Neither Scott nor YT give the stamp a CV in mint condition, indicating it is a rather scarce item.

So sorry I went AWOL Again!
Job wasn't quite what I was expecting but fortunately in a good way.
After 8 years of a needle phobia my new job supported so well I was finally able to learn to vaccinate to help with the covid pandemic in the UK.
I have been vaccinating housebound. I cannot tell you what an achievement it has been to learn to vaccinate.
On top of that I have gone back to studying for a 3 Yr course which will finally let me live my real dream of treating people in a gp surgery without seeing any blood. The two reasons I was never a gp in the first place.
If someone had said to me a year ago I would be doing this I would have never ever believed them.
Well back to the Queen. My collecting took a bit of a back step when I found out she was poorly and with my new job.
In the UK the jubilee celebrations are starting to be announced bringing back my desire to enjoy my hobby again. My local library has asked me to do a display which has also helped with the enthusiasm.
I have been wanting to share this and so excited to show some really exciting stamp things that I know will be appreciated. I bought off ebay so no idea who did them.
They are v exciting for me as they are original photos that I have wanted to own for many years and I have been unable to find. Hope you enjoy.
Will show in separate posts for best pictures.
