Hey all. My name is Kyle. Im 36 years old and live in Ohio in the United States. Im an ambitious stamp collector looking to get more involved in the community and to dive deeper into the hobby that I loved. I was recommended to the forum from Darkormex.
So I started collecting at 4 years old and collected a lot until age 17, I even used to trade through the mail but got away from collecting for a time and have come back to it. Now I spend a good majority of my free time going through my stamps and and searching on ebay for them. My collection is largely US but im looking to get more into foreign stamps. I like German stamps and Chinese stamps a lot. I also like collecting old covers and envelopes with interesting post markings. Im looking to make new friends and get involved. Talk to you all soon!

Very cool jpotx113! I'm trying to add to my collection a lot through Ebay but my wife keeps getting upset how much I'm spending lol.
My wife would kill me if she knew how much I have spent. Prior to the corona virus I was cleaning aquariums in three nursing homes here in town. I was making approximately $400 each month, which went towards stamps, concert tickets, CDs and camping. Since March of last year I'm only cleaning the tank at a funeral home, so I'm only bringing in $55 each month. I was buying the more expensive stamps, and the more expensive tools, such as a Signoscope. My wife has no idea of what I have so when I die I'm sure she'll sell it for a mere fraction of what it is worth.

kyleb , you might be interested in the Germany area of the board here. I have some modest participation with more recent stamps but there is a lot more at that location to explore.

Thank you darkomex. I will definitely check it out. Is there anywhere on the forum that is open to just post pictures of covers or stamps from your collection to get others opinions or comments on them?

I have filled many a want list of Germany stamps. Have a great day. Mike. Thank you Mike. Nice to meet you. I have a question. Where should I get a Michel catalogue and what is the best volume to get? Also, please keep in mind I am still somewhat on the beginner side of collecting although I have a quite large collection, my knowledge is lacking. That is why I am here to grow and learn.
