Although most French India air mail issues are the ones from the omnibus French Colonial series, there are a few rather colorful dedicated issues as well. Here we have YT PA18-20.

The above stamps were issued on Jan.24th,1949.
Several months earliar,on June 7th,1948 a 3 R. was issued,what is listed as part of the airmail-set in most catalogues:
However a little mishap had occured: the shown temple of Chindambaram was not situated in French India,but in the India´s state of Madras,today Tamil Nadu. The stamp was withdrawn from sale just after a month,on July 8th,1948.

Of the omnibus colonial air mail issues, only the "Protection of Indigenous Childhood" series had separate designs for each colony, so here are the Indian ones, YT PA#7-8. Issued in 1942 by Vichy France, they did not see postal usage:
