Note 1) the full sheets of Hausburgs yellowish card 0f 1906 (6 produced of non 2d plat II, 1 in the royal collection, 3 supposedly in the British Library that I'm trying to confirm, some large blocks and/or full sheets in private hands, so not many available) 2) Blocks on soft yellowish wove paper 1914, these might be the kings reprints, the Agent General reprints, testing of the plates before the Hausburg, or something else (I am looking into these as well)
Hopefully I might make it to London in the near future and can see these.

Thanks Grant. That solves the 3d question. Look good. Nice clean prints. What kind of paper are they on. Is is similar to the plate proofs of the 1d, 2d, 1s?
Anyone got a 4d?

Thanks for the pictures of the 'Gigantic Book' Mark. It looks great.
What is its title and what did it cost? It looks interesting enough to keep a look out for :-)

Stanley Gibbons Christmas Card 1954 Printed by Perkins, Bacon Ltd Just received today, a beautifully engraved card. The Two Pence Chalon Head is printed on thick card and hinged to the Christmas card. The card hasn't aged well but it doesn't seem to come up for sale very often. Daniel

Hi everyone, my presentation on the reprints at the RPSNZ back in May is up on their website ( link), but you probably have to be a member to view it. That was a good hour spent on a rainy Waikato day watching your presentation Mark. Really good stuff, and left me with more questions than answers for now - I've so much to learn. I thought I had a bunch of London Proofs but now I think I have some Hausberg reprints on paper or something else? In the images below the bottom three are certified (Odenweller) Proofs but the others I am thinking could be something else. All are on paper - I have the Hausberg's in blocks of 60 (except 2d Plate 1) and most also bottom two rows (except 1d and 2d plate1) all on card. Any views on the below welcome.

A quick guess without comparing with mine. Block of 4 1d is a plate proof. No wear so it has to be. Block of 4 2d a plate proof, plate I because of the narrow vertical space between the stamps (just checked on my full sheet) and no wear. Top 6d and 1s, plate proofs due to paper type Bottom 1d, Hausburg on paper (or whatever it should be called) because of the fibers in the paper. If there were only 6 sheets of non 2d Plate II Hausburgs on card produced, there is supposed to be a sheet of each in the royal collection and 3 sheets of each in the British Library (which hopefully I will confirm in July, can't visit the royal collection because it is closed for renovations, the royal collection might be one of the sheets from the library), you have blocks of 60, there are also blocks of 108 of the 3d-1s, I did see someone had full sheets of them all. So there are very few available for collectors.

Finally on the Hausberg's is this set from George Branam's collection. Significant for the 2d plate 1 single. All are on card. Cheers, Neil

Nice lot of large blocks of the Hausberg Reprints Neil I was looking at that last page of reprint singles, above, and thought about the sentence on it that states " These proofs show the extent of wear in each plate at the end of its life". I was thinking about that and recalled a 6d Chalon I got in a few weeks ago. It shows quite a bit of wear and yet the plate still had about 2½ years of printing left in it , yet, the Hausberg example shown above shows a very 'unworn' example! And the example of the Davies 1864-71 SG122 6d dated JA 14 71 that is clearly quite worn - and with 2½yrs of printing left in the plate before it was retired ! What this tells me is that the statement " These proofs show the extent of wear in each plate at the end of its life" isn't 'quite' accurate. What this actually shows us is that the examples used are 'representative' of the state of the plate - but that each individual impression of 240 varies in the amount of wear displayed. So, some impressions of the 6d plate were quite worn, others were not so much. Two example below of the 6d - dated only a few months apart: Obviously this thought process of mine also applies to the other plates, but I picked on the 6d as I had an obviously worn example of it in my mind at the time Dave

Hi Mark, I've seen something like this before but can't remember where. Where did you get it? Neil Got it off ebay Nice find I reckon. The closest thing I know to this is this little item from one Placido Ramon de Torres. It's similar to his style and every now and again he would do work that was obviously not real but people who had never seen them before would think they were real. I enjoy reading about Sperati, Fournier, Spiro and de Torres. Man they punched out some stuff between them.
