Hi to everyone, I've recently joined the forum. I hope I can be of help with any questions other members are asking, (on stamp subjects I am familiar with). I'm from U.K. and my interest is G.B. from Victoria to date. I also have a specialist collection of Machin definitive stamps which is still being expanded using Deegam levels 2/3. Despite my user name I'm not a doctor??

Welcome... In Italy, doctor refer to laureate poeple but also a medicine doctor is who take care to sick people... There are also musks derived from the art comedy (il dottor Balanzone?)... In some way, all we could be doctors... If you're not a medicine doctor, maybe a Machin doctor...

My victorians are fairly sparse so far. I've been working back through my collection filling in the gaps. Should have got some of these years ago, when they were cheaper.

I also collect Machins and have the new HB5 Deegam but do not collect according to Deegam organization.
Do you have an image of a Machin with the JET phosphor adjacent to a typical (blue/violet) phosphor?

Do you have an image of a Machin with the JET phosphor adjacent to a typical (blue/violet) phosphor? I don't have at the moment. As far as I can remember my jet phosphors are back in the low values 1p 11/2p ranges, which are not fully checked yet. I will check through & see if I can scan some images!! Not sure if the different phosphors will show up on my scanner as I tried it with a large dark flaw, some time ago with nothing showing up on the scan.

Hi Stan, thought you might like to see these, Jubilee issue + 1. Misnomer really they just coincided with the jubilee?? My first acquired full set of victorians (basic set + deeper orange 1/2d shade).

Welcome to the Forum drblade! I'm really looking forward to your collection and expertise on early Great Britain. I completed (except for the high value seahorses) Great Britain from KGVI to pre-decimal QEII awhile ago. I've recently begun collecting early GB Victorian issues (and, so far only those with my initials R L). At this point the only ones I'm interested in are the line engraved issues but that might change? I have plating questions regarding the penny black that I'll post sometime. I hope you enjoy your time here, it's a really friendly place for sharing on every philatelic level.

They are direct from scanner without using uv lamp. If not good enough I will try & get another scan off uv. Camera not connected at the moment I need a new digital one??
