For the past few days I have been concentrating on moving my flaws stamps (mainly Machins) from their stock book resting place to an album. The scan is of the 18p's examples which I have just finished mounting. Some are listed flaws others not, with their descriptions in pencil. A lot of the flaws are only visible under magnification so probably not on this scan.

For the past few days I have been concentrating on moving my flaws stamps (mainly Machins) from their stock book resting place to an album. The scan is of the penultimate page of 60, for the small head Machins, which I have just finished. Total stamping time 5 & a half days. The final page was mainly of 75p stamps so it's now on to moving the other stamps with flaws which are mainly commemoratives, pre-decimal & decimal + Q.E.II bar-coded Machins Some are listed flaws others not, with their descriptions in pencil. A lot of the flaws are only visible under magnification so probably not visible on this scan.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I was looking through some envelopes while watching football this evening and came across these 11 MNH blocks of Machins from the first issue. They are duplicates for me so once the Canada Post strike ends I will probably list them on eBay. I know the value is not great so the starting price will be low. I am not a major Machin collector but I can see the attraction. The colours are wonderful.

Where has the time gone, I posted in the "What you been stamping" thread on 5th October about attending my local stamp auction, saying that I would post here about the items in the lot I won. Well still sorting out those items with the end still not quite in sight. The duplicates in the said lot have been identified & placed in a stock book or listed on eBay. I'm still sorting/indentifying quite a few Machins after well over a month. From my part of the world its called "spuddling" (working or doing something slowly or deliberately). as soon as I get finished I will show some of the pages here.

After getting my custom album pages with Machins near the 95% point, I decided to redo them so they are by denomination but keep the chronological order as the next level. I finally decided it would be best so I can expand as needed without doing as many pages.
