salentin , thanks for continuing to post these lovely stamps. I see from my research that the series has continued into more modern years and you have encourage me to add this set to my targets to collect, they really are nice images and the parks they show are such a wonderful part of Japan, I hope to be able to visit more of them in the years to come but for now Japan is wisely limiting tourists visiting to help stem the COVID plague. thanks again for these lovely postings
I found this lovely cover for one of these stamps with the real scene and figures added to the left. A very nice idea. Lovely views.

salentin thanks, i see i have quite a few to collect still. thanks a lot for this has been fun to see them all. Will be fun to try to find out how did the images, looks like one artist or several who agree on style and motif. Lovely stamps all of them. along with the Internatioanl letter writing series, and the more photographic National Parks issues, these are some of my all time favorites of Japan stamps. thanks again for sharing Chris

I am tempted by some offerings of the entire set mint offered on sale, but they vary in price from 40.00 US to 80.00 US. so still just tempted.

Does anyone collect this series in terms of full pane of 20 stamps? I got the following panes in a recent bulk purchase. If no one wants them as full panes, I will split them up and use individual stamps as postage.  |
