Is this a Delandre issue? I can confirm that this is a World War I Swiss Soldier Stamp.

Similar designs for the 4th Territorial Regiment and the 315th Infantry Regiment, 1916 & 1915 respectively. There are a number of 'pairs' like these and I find them most appealing. The problem is finding them !! Londonbus1

In the July 2021 issue of The Cinderella Philatelist, Ron, cindycan2, gets a another great review for his book 'Delandre and the Bonne Année 1920 Stamps'. Described by the reviewer, Ed Pieklo, as 'another masterpiece'. Well deserved, see my review above.

Two more Bonne Année 1920 stamps from Delandre. The first is actually a Merry Christmas stamp for the Isle of Man (catalogue no. 22a in blue) depicting a Manx cat (no tail). The second is for Pau in France and depicts a statue of King Henry IV as a child (catalogue no. 116c in red).

Apart from commissioning original artwork, Delandre would also simply copy existing Poster Stamps/Cinderellas from other countries. Most notably Italy and the UK. We've seen this stamp before, acquired in a collection by radiocruncher .
On the left is the original published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee, London and printed by David Allen & Sons Ltd of Harrow who also produced the full size posters. By the way, my copy has no gum on the back and is lacking the usual attribution to David Allen, therefore, this must have been printed over the gum.
Next to it is one of many Delandre black and red versions, almost certainly copied without permission. Those appearing in black and red are Delandres and not produced by David Allen. This particular one is not too bad but other Delandre versions are lacking the quality of the originals.

In the online Album 'Les Vignettes Delandre' these are listed under Propaganda>>>L'espionnage. "Don't talk, be aware" "The enemy is listening" A popular WW1 & WW2 phrase on posters, pamphlets and newspapers. Not a full 'set' so on the lookout.........

This stamp, depicting Queen Consort Milena of Montenegro, isn't what it seems. In fact , it is one from a set of four produced by Delandre as part of his Red Cross scam. Usually seen perforated, this is an imperforate version. Probably issued in 1916.

Delandre was infamous for not paying his artists and printers and defrauding charities. When he was unable to reprint some stamps to a professional standard, due to unpaid bills, he would resort to very cheap copies at a reduced size. Here are four examples. The top row shows his original Italian stamps, which, in any case were copies, alongside his cheap reprints. Two further examples of his cheap reprints are shown in the second row, I don't have the originals.

Groupe Cyclistes. 10 groups exist and eight of them are overprints in many different colour combinations. Groups 1-5 and 7-9 are like these shown below. The overprinted group numbers also exist in different colours ! A full set might run into the hundreds !!

Back in December I showed 5 Poster stamps from a Delandre Propaganda-Espionage set of 8. I recently won the set but it may have gone AWOL because of the postal problems here. I am showing it anyway !! Below those are a selection of others that have turned up against all odds ! (Some may have been shown previously as there are a number of posts with small lots in the images).

There were 5 main Delandre catalogues with 2 further volumes dealing with proofs and essays etc. which I won't deal with here. The first 2 volumes were by Walter Schmidt, the next 2 volumes were by Schmidt and Charles Kiddle and Volume 5 (descibed as an update) was by Kiddle only. Sadly, both Schmidt and Kiddle have passed on and so, there won't be any further revisions.
Volume I: Delandre's French Military Vignettes 1914-1917 Volume II: Delandre's non-French Miltary Vignettes 1914-1917 Volume III: Delandre's Red Cross Vignettes 1914-1917 Volume IV: Delandre's Vignettes other than Military and Red Cross 1914-1917
Note that despite the 1914 dates, the late Ron Lafrenière, cindycan2 on this forum, stated that the stamps were all produced from 1915 to 1917. The Bonne Année stamps came later.
Since they were all self-published, all volumes are difficult to find.
