Thank you koban1. I am in the process of combining 3 existing collections of early Japanese stamps, i will consider all of the stamps of my collection up to the 1930s as suspect until i can verify them one at a time. In the process i will train my eye to see and know the known signs of forgery but reviewing the main forgers, I see i will have to either assimilate all of those signs or with the marks of each single main forger in hand go thru the stamps one at a time to verify as i can. After all of that I may see if I can get help at the ISJP of which i have joined but I need to do my own homework and research. thanks a lot for this interesting article. Chris

I discovered a B19 with same anomolies and previous B16... germany origin. perfs do not exist on genuine 5rin sheets. comparing 2 blocks ... perf errors mimic Spiro (MAEDA) matrix 5x5 ...
