The below poster stamps/advance labels are of commercial origin, from the United States Chamber of Commerce, illustrating trade statistics and distribution of trade goods. I acquired the three labels as one lot and don't know if there are more to the set. I think there may be at least one more for 1941, but I suspect that the series was halted by America's entry into WW II. My introduction to this series was the 1939 label used on a cover from the Propeller Club. Originally, I thought the cover was aviation oriented, but checking online found that the Propeller Club is a maritime organization begun in New York City in 1922 to promote shipping and subsequently expanding to other port cities, Seattle being one. The 2 cents postage on the cover suggests that the cover may have carried printed matter, a meeting notice, perhaps.

Hi Jeff:
Yes, thanks, that accounts for the two cents stamp instead of the three cents. The Propeller Club mail clerk knew what he/she was doing.

California Centennial 1848-1948 I acquired this page of these stamps stuck to an album page some time ago. The dates are curious, what exactly are these stamps celebrating? Not their state centennial since statehood was not achieved until 1850. So 1848 represents the discovery of Gold. One of the three main years in Californian history. The others being 1849, the Gold Rush and 1850, US statehood. 33 stamps from a set of 64 (corrected). Thanks to Londonbus1 and swvl for corrections.

Not their state centennial since statehood was not achieved until 1850. So 1848 represents their independence after the Mexican-American War when California was ceded to the United States. Perhaps they were also thinking of the discovery of gold in California in 1848 - the subject of the Gold Rush Centennial stamp issued that same year.

California Centennial 1848-1948 33 stamps probably from a set of 60. The set was 64. Mount Diablo was number 64. A nice series, typical of the USA

Thanks swvl and Londonbus1 . I found more information. Yes 64 stamps published by The International Poster Stamp Association and Yes related to the Gold Rush. It seems that 1848 (the discovery of gold), 1849 (the Gold Rush) and 1850 (Statehood achieved) are the 3 key years in the history of California and that fact is mentioned in the accompanying information sheet. HARLINGEN TEXAS WINDOW "decals?"
Are large things like this considered cinderellas? The picture side has water-activated stick-um apparently made for adhering to glass such as a store window, car window (?) or other transparent surface.
Note this is printed on both sides.

If it would fit on a standard 8 1/2 x 11 album page, I would include it in my Cinderella collection.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Searching through the desk again today I revisited some envelopes of vintage Christmas and Easter seals and found this rogue 1965 charity stamp from Dakota Boys Ranch in Minot, North Dakota. They are still active and now known as Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch having started to accept girls in 1991. The charity is faith based being a Lutheran organization. They began helping troubled youth and continue in that effort. They are a major charity in North Dakota with a chain of thrift stores used to help finance the ranches and schools.

MIAMI ALL-AMERICAN AIR MANEUVERS JAN 10 11 12 1941 A diminutive die-cut Cinderella.
An online search of the subject shows this to have been quite an event. eBay turns up some interesting items as well.

This is an uncommon trio to find in a strip, let alone a pane of 6. I have the Oranges single in that collection so this would be blatant overkill. In addition to the citrus theme, it also includes GOOD ROADS, PHOSPHATE and CIGARS subjects. I could use a Phosphate single as it is a major fertilizer in the citrus industry, but not important enough to the collection to separate the pane. I'll find one eventually.

Smith & Murray Department Store, Springfield, Massachusetts Originally a hotel, Scottish immigrants John M. Smith and Peter Murray opened their department store in 1879 on the ground floor and the basement. They were described as 'importers and dealers in foreign and domestic dry and fancy goods'. By the end of the century they occupied the entire building. Smith had died in 1898 but Murray continued with the business until 1915. It was occupied by other department stores over the years but closed in the 1960s and was then demolished.

Below are a couple of cinderellas I purchased for my Oklahoma collection. The first, a booklet pane of labor union-related poster stamps, and the second, a sheet of prayer stamps/seals from Oral Roberts Ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Both items are undated, but I estimate the labor union stamps date from the late 1930s while the Oral Roberts seals are more contemporary, perhaps from the 1990s or even the 2000s. The Oral Roberts is actually a sheet of 25, of which I scanned only the top 15. I was surprised to see that the labor union stamps were issued originally in booklet format.
Glad to add both to my Oklahoma Cinderella Collection.

A booklet pane of poster-sized stamps calling attention to the utility of America's railroads. No date, or origin information on this item. Probably produced and distributed by a railroad-related association that promoted rail commerce. It's heading for my Cinderella album without much write-up. If anyone knows who or when this item was issued, please advise. Thanks.

Don Stamphinger Hi Don (stamphinger), This was a World War II campaign showing the railroads role in the war effort. There are posters and other printings available with the same picture as your stamps. I think further checking will put them into the 1940s somewhere. Rob

Official Travel Stamps Claremore, Oklahoma for Will Rogers The bottom strip from the sheet. I don't know the make-up of the sheet or whether or not it consisted of just these designs. Will Rogers has Featured on other cinderellas as well as postage stamps. He was born in the Cherokee Nation of Indian Territory, now Oklahoma, in 1879. He was a vaudeville performer, actor, and humorous social commentator. He died in an aircraft accident with aviator Wiley Post in 1938.
