Hey Jack.
That's great. I'm sorry if it sounded like I was complaining ; I wasn't. But your improvement is GREAT. I can now argue that Red is the "best" skin :-)

I've tried them all, but have finally settled on the RED. Only drawback is that links in posts don't change color, so they're a bit hard to see.

You'll have a chance to think about it soon. Today I received from Mystic, a two-page letter, one-page survey, and a return envelope all dealing with my collection, how I acquired it, how I plan to dispose of it, etc.

Chalons -- good one, Jack.
Vurtheims -- once again, Rod. Your knowledge is far greater than mine. I'd never heard of Vurtheims.

Crikey! I would debate you on that Well said. You've changed my mind. I was thinking of Mulready as only the envelope, but what you say makes sense - especially now that you've educated me a bit

Great one, Rod. Not a stamp series, but an interesting tangent. Thanks.

Here's a question that probably everyone knows the answer -- except me.
How many series of stamps are there (worldwide) that are named for the Photographer / Artist responsible for the design?
For example,
KGV -- Downey Heads QEII -- Machins
QEII -- Wildings ?
etc.

p.s. Bonus points if you can post a picture

might as well get it from London! Probably have a better chance of getting stamps Sadly, that has not been my experience. I'm not a regular customer; I've only ordered from them 4 or 5 times -- never a stamp on the shipments; always a label.

One day, they'll offer free overseas shipping. (One can dream). khj, I've tried comparing prices at Regency Superior (the USA authorized agent) but it's usually the same, so I just buy directly from Stanley Gibbons. It's more fun to get mail from London

I'd like to resurrect this thread to add a few comments about my experience with Photobucket (Pb) over the past 3 months (since the initial post). I'll start with some pros and cons.... PROs: - good user interface
- privacy settings are clear and seem to work well
- good info from rod222 made configuration simple (especially the advice to plan a folder hierarchy in advance)
- ample free space; room for thousands of pics (more than I will ever have)
- nice smartphone app with option to sync every picture to Photobucket (do not do this if you're a Hollywood starlet)
- I always browse in multiple tabs; it's very easy to copy/paste Pb links into TSF posts.
CONs:
- site uses tons of tracking cookies; expect 12 to 20 to load every time you open Photobucket (I use Ghostery to block trackers; see image below)
- expect at least one email every morning with a sales promotion (with a little persistence, you can opt out of the emails)
- if you are purchasing prints, Pb is one of the more expensive sites.
CONCLUSIONS: - Photobucket is a business; I don't love the marketing and sales emails, but they're a minor issue in exchange for the ample free space I receive in return.
- I don't like tracking cookies that target me for advertisers, but I use AdBlock and Ghostery to kill those anyway.
- I'm glad I switched from Flickr which I never liked.
KirkS P.S. This image shows the trackers being blocked by Ghostery as I compose this post.

I can't imagine that ANY inkjet printer is cheaper to operate than a laser. In my opinion, the purchase price is MUCH less significant than the cost-per-page to operate.
It has been my experience that inexpensive inkjets use twice as much ink as higher-priced models.
At the very least, you should do a little Google-Fu and try to find some printer reviews. CNET and PCMagazine usually rank/review the latest models.
Good luck. Kirk

I appreciate Frog and his contribution to the forum.
Just made a small contribution via PayPal. Easy to do and I'm glad to help.
