Zwolle is an interesting city with an very nice Wikipedia site. The enlarged topog map was fun to visit, as well as learning about the 'bluefingers'. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zwolle

After receiving a nice group of Belgium stamps from Londonbus some years ago, I followed up by beefing up the collection with railroad stamps. Now I have a 'go to' group any time I need a postmark calendar stamp! This Q23 cancelled Alost-nord was possibly? from the main railway station of Aalst(the Flemish name). Alost is the French name. EDIT: I suspect a small station once existed near the recently opened Aalst-Kerrebroek station. The main station, as shown by Wikipedia, was built in 1852.

Amazingly, my first attempt at posting an image succeeded! The Dolhain-Gileppe station and the town of Auvelais are both tiny little places. Next step... soak that Scott Q3 stamp to make it a more presentable.

Welcome Judith! I very much enjoyed hearing about your story. In my case an old shipping crate filled with stamps followed me around for about 50 years until after retirement.

Hi everyone. After lurking for quite a while I decided it was surely about time to make an appearance. Some of you may remember me from a few years ago on one forum, or more recently on another forum. Being a septuagenarian, I might be here quite a while before I figure out how everything works. I hope I will be able to contribute something useful from time to time. Recently I have been spending most of my time sorting kiloware, so I've tended to focus on nice postmarks more than on the stamps. My favorite item each morning is checking out the new additions to the postmark calendar. That really makes my day! Wishing you all happy stamping! Andrew
