1936-39 Spanish civil war, nationalist cinderella, showing the flag of the "Falange española de las Jons" a fascist party (very close to German nazis) that supported the militar upraisal.

1955 Dominican Republic (Caribean sea). "Free World, Fraternity and Peace Fair"
On a cover postamrked at Ciudad Trujillo on October 1955. This was the name that the capital, Santo Domingo had on years 1936-61, due to Leonidas Trujillo dictatorship (1930-1961).

A stockcard purchased at the Exhibition back in February. I got them for the Flags. They are 1947 'Fee stamps for the German Communist Party Book' ! But what do I do with that Karl Marx fella ?  SED- Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands |

Staying in Scandinavia here is a block of 4 from the IOGT, a Swedish Temperance Movement. Established in 1879, the stamp commemorates their 25th Anniversary.  |

I’ve a few copies in my collection and I’ve been trying to find these “used” on cover. if anyone is interested in the mechanics of the sale, here is a link to a good historical article. Surprisingly the results of the vote by the population was overwhelmingly in favor of the sale, but there was a lot of heated debates in Denmark.
